Regarding the person who was arrested, it may be possible if he had created a pirate game and marketed

ppl wont arrest you just for making mugen content if you try to get paid by selling mugen then yeah. theres a difference between commissions and marketing mugen.

technically you can like I said you can market mugen but it has to be 100% your work
on top the creator of mugen 1.0 and 1.1 says you can but that doesn't apply to work form other games that have copyrights and technically in gaming industry if anything you'll get fired if use someones ells work off the internet so most and they strongly advise not too it could cost you a interview  though this don't seem to apply to indi punks like that guy but oh well it's considered illegal to sell other peoples work with out permission and in gaming companies a major no no  if you can't make your own work you don't get the job.

yeah good point you can market mugen if its entirely your own work andres borghi did and he even got hired for real animation studios. you CAN however pay someone to sprite and or code you work from an alredy existing copyright cause its just paying for a commission.

That guy is making money with your work, but not just that that guy is using other forums to rip gif's around all forums, mfg, mugen infinity team, between others.
he is even using street fighter 4 set (by chochuryu)

Alot of characters will be stealed (if it wasn't stoled yet). And mugen may stop existing due to people like this guy...

I just don't want people to pay for admission to play as my characters or use my sprites. ^^ I understand the value of money, and I know it shouldn't be spent playing as characters I created. I want everyone to play as my characters by their own free will. ^^ Not whether or not they can afford it. And, this is why I support Andres Borghi and every other original creator out there! omg out of all the tiny little countries I could be in this happens here where ive been stuck at for years
in Kuwait these people already get paid by their own government I just don't get it If anyone knows where this guy lives I can pay him a vist

Anyway, it' a petty crime, personally I hate this whole copyright thing. Its been bugging me on youtube for the past 10 years.   Don't get me wrong, I am offended that someone would sell something that is free, I have a lot of problems with that personally. I don't even like the idea of commissions for mugen, personally I get offended when I'm asked to do something for money regarding mugen.
