Mugen and money

Today I was thinking about some things in mugen, especially after playing marvel vs capcom 2 and see the amount of sprites and they sure were made in marvel characters, at the end it was worth it simply because they must have received a lot of money on the sales of the game.

Then I thought if applied in mugen?
And if fans of certain characters, collaborate with small amounts of money to stimulate farmers to finish quicker their wips. pretend you think this?
Remembering that this is only a discussion, I am not proposing anything, just want to know the opinion of you, I think I could improve a little the mugen community, but it is only my opinion.
Then tell what you think.

guys like zvitor, the Illusionist, buyog, chuchuryu and others deserve this recognition
but I think that should happen in private
as someone who makes a painting commissioned by a client, the artist's work but the screen would be paid customer would have the right to choose whether or not openly share .... I think might work well

Some people make chars on commission for other people, but it's something private, I think some people in the guild do this, on the other hand here's my advice, if you do mugen for money all the fun goes away, and for sure you will not gain much , will let your hobby, turn paid job?

some people also asks donations to help keep your site and encourage more creations, I think this works only with great creators out, what I can speak for myself is: that Mugen and money has nothing to do  

It could work but mugen is free content and game project made by fans (or not, flammableking is doing an original project), and like 21 said you need to talk to elecbyte.
And there's creators (like me (i'm more a player but whatever)) who doesn't care about requests, and money, they make stuff that they feel that they need to be made, they basically do this as a hobby
Also i don't see how it could improve our community, can you tell me an example?

I agree with the answer of all boys, my initial idea is that everything in mugen pass to be there based on money, on the contrary.
Imagine if every month was chosen 1 wip and each person donate $1 dollar, to help the creator and stimulate your work?
I am not suggesting that the creator make characters who don't want to just for the money, rather than simply focus on their wips.
An example, I believe that today the characters that people want are hawkeye and she hulk, both in a state of wip and if there was a contribution of all to help the creators of these projects?

well i agree, but most of the people don't even have bank accounts or paypal whatever, some people just don't care about the money, but others do, and i respect that after all everyone needs money to live.
Forgot to mention that some people will get much more donations because he is one of the favourite creators, and it'll make some people feel bad because people only donates those creators and the others will fell useless because of it (it's like that popular guy who can date every girl and the others can't even talk to someone because he is not popular).

I don't need money, and I'm very close to completion on Hawkeye, YAY!!
that all said, nice to know that people want to help the cause of creating the not yet created
pay me with patience, that's all I need to keep on working on these character wips, I give a week to each wip, then when I feel its close to completion I'll release it, currently I have 12 wips maybe more

That good arkady, I hope that you will be able then to patience you need.
I so I want to make it clear that I am not suggesting a service of sale, rather than a way to stimulate the farmers in general.
I would say that more as a way to help, I did a little time my first char and I saw as it is tiring often fully complete the work, then in a certain way could be a help to people who cannot contribute with other things.

Regarding this topic, I think a donation "As a token of appreciation" is the only possible way for money in MUGEN, Just like the creator of GokuZ2 which you will notice in the MUGEN FIGHTER GUILD. But as stated by jorge.tmtm most of us don't have bank account or paypal. so not all us of can send a donation.

To me this is a big NO NO. It's a clear infringement to be profiting from copyrighted material. I don't understand how certain creators taking commission for spriting or CS chars have been getting away with it. I fear, and I really hope it isn't the case, that commissions will be the downfall of MUGEN.

I'd have to agree with Dream. Commissions will be the downfall of MUGEN unless something changes or anything.
