new Symbiote spider-man

hey guys. i know ive said i was done with spidey mugen
but there is one last thing that doesnt let me rest easy, especially for the last few days or so
ive talked about it many times, but finally decided to try to do it

basically im talking about completely redoing symbiote spider-man (both sprites and code)
luckily, most of the work is already done by RG op, and some important work was done by Empawk with his amazing new spritesheet

Spoiler:

most of the sprites will be RG op's scarlet spider sprites though, just with legs, arms and belt accessories removed and chest logo replaced, and some final polishing shading fixes

code base will be default Kong's spidey

and since RG op, Empawk in his spritesheet and Kong are stated open source, if i finish and release this thing, it will also be a good completely free open source for anyone who wants to use spider-man bodytype clean sprites for their character (chest logo will be just a smartpal, so easily removable). and Empawk amazing work will not go unused anymore. its a win-win imo

ps. doing x-men stuff simultaneously, sinister in particular, so no worries about that. and this week my work contract expires so i will have a month or so of completely free time doing anything mugen related)

Just make sure to ask empawk I think he would appreciate it

Can I recommend maybe Zvitor Spidey as a base I thought kong codes were like cheap I thought I heard that somewhere

Empawk sprites from his spritesheet are stated open source by him
i mentioned it in the original post, and you can read it in the spritesheet itself

also you should know my position on that, i stated it many times

i think Zvitors spidey is based on Kong's actually. in any case, just redoing the sprites now man, code is last step, and it really can be switched anytime (but tbh i still would probably prefer Kong's to compliment current Venom code and have a classic MvC spidey version)

ps. i think people were saying Kong's AI is cheap, in a sense that its just has strict combos and triggers that only machine can perform
but his character code in some cases is still top gun i think

I hope got a smart palette...others symbiotes no got that!

there is probably nothing to separate man
its just body, eyes and logo. those 3 are separated, yes

i dont really think anything from the old symbiote spider will be useful, but thanks for the heads up man

He said it's fine I was talking with him but he also said it would of been nice just to let him know so just make sure to credit

I liked the most recent version of symbiote Spider-Man. Curious to see what you change about him. You still keeping a few symbiote styled moves?

You can go very creative with a symbiote so go crazy with it
