This is a link to files and a folder related to my canceled Symbiote Spider-Man character. I was planning to do a Web of Shadows version with improved sprites, but it was very time consuming.
It has custom red and blue Spider-Man sprites as well as a cleaned up Symbiote Spider-Man base. It also has reference sheets for attacks from Web of Shadows, portraits and voices.

guess i shouldve contacted you as crosspots suggested after all some new anims def make me want to go further than default capcom moveset plans i probably wont be able to be as deep about this remake as alot of your files suggest, but since its shared here, i guess people who could take on updating it beyond the base i will upload, will be able to use it, if i wont. or maybe you yourself will. in any case, thanks for sharing

It's open source. Just make sure to keep the spriters in the credits.

Minor notes for direction if you're interested.
Symbiote spider-man is not only more aggressive but also super strong! Maybe Hulk like strength feats are appropriate for him?
Some concrete breaking wherever possible could sell that personality. Also he shouldn't be sneaking like spiderman but should behave like a confident powerhouse. He should be upright with his chest puffed out not even worried about his opponent. Overly confident. Never hunched over or trying too hard. Maybe some Zangief grab squash wrestling submissions? Maybe even back break knee strike would be very appropriate? Choke holds? Stuff venom could do to you!
Also instead of normal spider-web fibers have him actually use black symbiote for webbing! Minor detail for fun.
He should be bully oriented in behavior. Have him rub an opponents face on the ground or something? kick stomp an opponent? Shove, push down, trip, just mean spirited peter parker being influenced by aggression. Have him knock something over in his intro and frequently make a fist. Have him make a punching gesture indicating he's gonna beat you up or cracking his knuckles, finger pointing?
A gut punch would be cool! followed by a fall down reaction a double hand club? Anything could probably work. New custom basics would really bring out and change the character from good guy to bad guy.

yeah man, i totally agree with you i guess only suggestion i dont like is black webbing. but im pretty sure webbing is palette separated, so you can have that too by just changing colors
however, currently im only set to just convert the regular kong spider-man sprites to symbiote spider-man with minimal canon changes (web shoots out from the top of the wrist like warecus suggested, venom shield instead of web shield). 2-3 anim changes, like upright walk replaces sneak walk and running replacing dash forward, and stance will be less hunched over, +maybe 1-2 new winposes/intros from Empawk spritesheet, but not much more
but seeing how many edits of the old symbiote spider man out there, i hope this one will get custom versions with all the stuff you mentioned as well
gotta be honest its just kinda hard to motivate yourself when doing character like this one, when its not something completely new like doc ock for example, so progress is very slow(( and just converting sprites already takes much more time than i thought, even though im using RG op and Empawk spritesheets
but good news, only specials/hypers sprites left, then its to drawing chest logo and its done

yeah, but without chest logo. so just "clean" spider-man sprites. and most based on RG op scarlet spider and a bunch from Empawk spritesheet
but just getting those "clean" sprites with all fixes turned out to be more time consuming portion of the work than drawing chest logo, so it is still the bigger part already done, smaller part left
cant really say how much time, some RG op sprites need more fixes, some none, except filling missing gadgets parts; some Empawk sprites use 5 shades, so they ready to go, some have only 4, so i have to restore the missing color; sometimes i need to combine their sprites trying to get the best looking version, sometimes its just simple as copy-paste.. so, some sprites literally just a minute to get, some may take significantly longer. but im slowly getting there
and coding base is also done yeah, so after sprites are ready its only a matter of just quickly replacing them in .sff and its done

well, hey man, if you have some unfinished unreleased stuff, which you dont mind sharing, you can send it to me in a pm or post here even if its just the same Kong sprites cleaned up that i already did, maybe yours will be of better quality. or you already have chest logo drawn anything of the same or better quality that can speed up the process would be welcome, worst case - i just wont use it and you can use and add it yourself after this base version released
