I'm also doing a version but I saw yours and I don't know if I should continue with it although I had planned a standing posture and movements it looks great

well, definitely dont let it stop you but if you are planning new movements, maybe it would be the best way to just wait for this version release and add new movements to it? i basically will convert all capcom spider-man sprites, so it will be default kong spidey, just in symbiote costume and only replacing stance and walk
stance will be this one by X-boy (only part that cant be open source):

+maybe some additional movements by wil.li.an, but the base will be pretty much just clean kong MvC spidey with those 2 anims replaced. just a good clean base any future symbiote spider versions can fall on to

Looks nice though I can’t figure out what is going on with left hand. Iceman works pretty well. May a new basic or two from iceman?

is something wrong with that hand? i cant really tell. but its X-boy default anim, only the colors were changed
honestly, im kinda not liking that teeth stuff as well. it looks cool, and gives that creepy feeling that a hero does that, but i always thought it should be just venom's thing same with axes feels like it should be just a carnage thing
wil.li.an have additional cool teeth attack animation, but im honestly leaning towards just uploading a default capcom version and people can add what they want themselves later
and great catch about wrists man, havent even thought about it, but it should be a must-have change

That was a close one. Yeah gotta be the top of the wrist.
I can’t tell with the hand since it is black on a black background but the stance is sick.
And probably instead of monster stuff just like I said add an extra basic attack or two but more bruiser like because regular Spider-Man is agile and floaty…maybe this one at least code wise can be more tank like.
Looking for inspiration just think “SHOCKEEER!”
I like to think maybe like gold warmachine from mvc

This is the animation that BP is referring to. It's a crouch attack made by the xbox. I think it's a great anim, but on second thought, it really doesn't fit the character's proposal

Really cool animation but Spider-Man never had teeth. Maybe it could be an alt mode idk. But Spider-Man should get different moves. I don’t know if the video is still up but theirs had different web attacks such as a web trap on the floor I think, but stuff like different web moves would be cool since the web comes from the costume…
Don’t have to worry about running out.
In all honesty spider noir has moves and aggression that suit symbiote Spider-Man in my opinion

that movement is perfect for my version since it will be based on the one with the black suit from shattered dimensions and web of shadows, does anyone know its bases

that anim is really cool guys, i agree and yep, wil.li.an is correct, it was made by x-boy too
but unlike his stance that anim has shading problem which is pretty significant, its just like with current spider man sprites, not that noticeable with dark colors, but it is with light ones:
and that is already after wil.li.an did some work to fix it, it was even more severe since it used that magneto/blackheart backlight effect
here is what i think: adding just 1 new move doesnt really make sense anyway guys but if XmatixX is working on more, that could be a much more unique new version with several new/replaced moves
i will focus on default capcom sprites/anims for now guys (thats what i feel is necessary) and when the time comes, you guys can do update on that default capcom version with new moveset that way we will have a choice of default capcom spidey and unique moveset symbiote spider and it could be merged into either alternative "evil" mode, as warecus suggests. or just used as a separate evil version of the character but i do want to have a choice of just a black suit spider, no teeth, no axes

Shattered Dimensions gameplay and the cartoon can probably give ideas for moves. I don’t remember Spider-Man having teeth. It does look cool, but I agree, I think that’s a Venom thing. Since he’s wearing the symbiote suit, I think he should have some symbiote like aspects to him. I honestly can’t really remember what moves Spider-Man added to his arsenal besides being more of the aggressor.
I feel like Spider-Man Noir is already an aggressive toned down Spider-Man. What ideas do you have in mind to separate this from being like a palette swap with a new stance and walk? I see suggestions about moves. They look pretty cool, but I have no memory of symbiote Spidey doing stuff like that unless it’s some comic stuff I missed

I have two sprite sheets on my deviantART account. You should take a look at both. The new base edit I made is way cleaner than the one in my character edit. I haven't made any recent updates.
I also have reference sheets for the attacks from Web of Shadows. I can share the files over Discord.

yeah, man, tbf most of the boring work was done by RG op and big part by Empawk here. combined together and +X-boy stance we have pretty much everything needed for full character. but yeah, still i have to go through this process with RG op sprites:
which still takes up a bit of time. but i guess there is no way around that, since RG op seems to be long gone from the community, even if he had just "clean" spider-man sprites backups somewhere
and yeah, thats why i want to get out just capcom-default version first its good enough to be a complete character and will provide people with good base, i know people like to work on some crazy versions with those symbiotes chars
yeah, i know man, but honestly now i just want to get default capcom-spidey version done. it would be already like 500-600 unique sprites. i mean i will be fully happy with it myself, and im sure people will add some symbiote-like moves for him, as Warecus says. i still want to focus on sinister update and x-men mugen

hey man, nice to see you are still active, at least as a forum member) a bummer that you didnt went further with that spritesheet, the quality on those new sprites is capcom-like, but i can understand why (for people who never cleaned up spidey sprites, removing that web pattern is much more difficult and time-consuming than it might look at first)
but its a great thing nevertheless i think i got both of your spritesheets though, the big one, and the smaller one, with the jump animation and chest logo example? (i simplified logo, to be able to get through all sprites, as you probably know capcom spidey has like 700+, but alot of duplicates there also, so more like 500-600 uniques i guess. but still twice as much as regular custom chars)
but maybe you could send me a link in the PM or here to both of them, just to be sure? and thanks for making it open source, just like RG op did. i was on the fence for a long time about doing this, but thats what tilted me towards it at the end
