My M.U.G.E.N. Is Lagging

I noticed here recently that my mugen starts to lag on curtain matches especially on stages that are animated but it never used to do this before how can i fix this problem?

this may be because you have too many chars in your roster or too many stages.
That's why i use different screenpacks with different chars.

I've found that certain chars/stages do cause lag on higher resolutions. Even some stages at a lower resolution. I've never found chars to cause lag though I imagine a Omega Rare God Mecha Ryu might
