Community WIP Awards?

Hello everybody!

Today im here to tell you about this idea for an award
It will be for WIPs, vote yes or no depending.

Interesting 21, I voted yes, it is a great idea that helps with all forum, after all this can stimulate farmers to post the progress of your wips and keep people motivated.

21, can you give a little more details about what you have in mind?

i voted yes do to i think if there were a "wip" award it would give the creator(s) mor incentive to finish the char/stage/sp/etc. but like Volz said,can you please elaborate on this topic @!,id like to hear about it more in detail.

I understand that could be good for creators, could help motivate them in their projects to finish and then release them, and even so the end result is better wip

Entiendo que podria ser bueno para los creadores, podria ayudar a motivarlos en sus proyectos para terminarlos y posteriormente liberarlos,e incluso para que el resultado final del wip sea mejor.

because when you like a wip, you can post in the wip topic,
no matter how much you will post, the creator will feel your love and anticipation if you follow him with his posts and adding suggestions or praise or critics,...
now if you make a wip award you will only motivate only one creator and the others will feel cheated because they will see they don't have many votes and feel what they are doing is useless

I have to agree with you, popularity contest, inflates the ego of some and discourage others


On the other hand no one is forced to like a project

I vote no b/c a lot of wips are left unfinished or abandoned.

tienen parte de razon pero eso depende de cada uno, de como se lo tome. yo hablare por mi; los premios a los mejores creadores casi siempre recaen en los mismos (loganir,zvitor,arkady,...) porque tienen un gran talento y sus chars son de los mejores ,y no por eso dejo de trabajar en mis wips al contrario intento hacerlo lo mejor que pueda intentando superarme. se emiten votaciones a las mejores creaciones y hay muchas que apenas reciben un voto y no por eso el creador abandona mugen. pero como digo eso ya es cuestion de cada uno (ver el vaso medio lleno o medio vacio) yo hice un topico sobre los wips mas esperados pudiendo poner cada miembro tres o mas y los mios apenas salieron en la preferencias de la gente del foro, y puedo asegurar que no tengo intencion de abandonar mis creaciones. SALUDOS COMPAÑEROS !

are partly right but that depends on each, as it was taken. I speak for me; awards to the best creators almost always fall on the same (loganir, zvitor, arkady, ...) because they have great talent and chars are the best, and why not stop working on my wips try to do the opposite the best you can trying to beat. feedback the best creations are issued and there are many who just do not get a vote and therefore the creator mugen leave. but as I say that it is a matter of each (see the glass half full or half empty) I made a topic about the most anticipated wips can put each member three or more and mine just came in the preferences of the people of the forum, and can assure you that I have no intention of abandoning my creations. First time to see "WIP Awards" feature! 

But how to determine a candidate?  Like, the WIP choices made?  The WIP must show constant progress updates via screen shots and videos?  Even available public/private betas?  Or the number of members' reply posts?

I mean, what will the "minimum specs" a candidate need to meet?

pienso igual o deberia haber otro tipo de premios para ellos que son mucho mejores creadores , de todos modos ellos hace mucho tiempo no participan y no lanzan sus nuevas creaciones (eso los demas tendrian que tambien tener en cuenta al momento de las votaciones!) y no dejarse guiar por que sus chars de hace tiempo atras son buenos por ejemplo:( hawkman , que es realmente muy bueno, pero ya lo votaron y creo que fue uno de os ganadores)

I think there should be equal or other prizes for them that are much better creators, however long ago they do not participate and do not release their new creations (that others would have to also take into account the time of voting!) and not be guided by their chars for a while back are good for example hawkman, which is really very good, but I already voted and I think I was one of winners)
