As long as we hit it with Halloween and Christmas and the fourms birthday events we should be fine
But it does suck but maybe people can finish their project's

There is nothing saying that those who have things to share, either a release or a wip introduction or anything can not share it even if the event is cancelled. It is up to you as a creator in the end.
Edit: Also, this is the worst day for such an announcement lol.

Likewise, Easter will be there, so anyone can share their release and projects around that date even if it is not an official forum event.
