Fantastic... It needs only death sprite(you could change death pose with to fly away with his drone)
About minions you could use that Bigpimp used for his kingpin miniboss and the slug is ready
Usually Bigpimp works are open source I hope he will give permission to use them
After found a static stage you need a coder only to avoid slug to walk

You can try to make a kingpin minigame spriteswap changing kingpin sprites with your slug sprites
