Be patient, with a little luck you will surely get someone to take care of the code of your char. As mentioned crosspotts1.0, would help attract the interest of a collaborator if you show part of your work. I can suggest that a few *.jpg examples would be fine. So no one would steal your sprites and everyone could appreciate your job.
