DC Vs MARVEL editing chars

I start this topic behalf new member "Dc vs Marvel" to avoid misunderstanding and to have permission for editing chars
Before according permission any char can be published
Dc vs Marvel will show his edit char and we can have a discussion

I say edit till your hearts content just credit what you use and have fun and release what you do

I dont get it very well... But "to avoid misundestood and to have permissions" I will say it again:
All my chars are open but the spritework usually is not mine so to edit the characrer sprites you better search for the creators.
In addiction, if the edit is more like a update is preferably that you send to me so I could "officially" update the original release.

By all means, properly credits is very important (Maybe even more than get "permission")

Hi crosspotts1.0 and Somm...from what i read u do support my updates/edits...also from Shining... Tnx .Sadly already happens a misunderstood with JARRO77(i think i fix the misunderstood)...but this is what i was try to avoid..and that was the reason i wasnt active to upload my personal use of updates/edits before one year when i start them.we say mugen is free...but i have see many arguments in other site about chars...like who is the owner/creator and more...and im wonder what would say the really owners/creators of the chars DC AND MARVEL.I will see more discussions and see about upload chars...i was happy to share with all of u as others share with us.But maybe is not good idea.See u tomorrow guys.

Whatever you do is yours. You do a Marvel or DC character, it's yours. But people who don't, say it belongs to Marvel and DC. We are talking about copyright and intellectuals. This pushed away many good breeders. Some of them, too good, like Loganir.

You must first verify that the author is active. If not, contact him. If not, if he is at least one year inactive, if you edit your character, give the due credits. Author's name, website, youtube channel and etc ...

There is no law that forces you to do what I said. It's just a matter of respect and common sense. Also being mature enough to accept a "no"

exacly my friend....those chars dont belong to us.but is matter of respect to creators.

I just complete an other one char update/edit. The great Spawn.
Tnx to creators ArLeQuIn-aa250-bdc-Trexell-Devsman that did this char.

I did:
-Add new extra jump sprites with cape at Jumping forward
-Change some sprites at Jumping up/Jumping back
-Add old Walk Back and fix correct anim sprites pos
-Fix some CLSN's
-Fix Walk Forward right arm chain sprites errors
-Remove some sprites from Standing medium punch and add velset
-Fix special Necro Blast so now blast is correct pos of hand
-Fix hyper Leetha Gunfire so now gunfire is correct pos of gun
-Fix sprites pixel errors and palette errors so now is like separate palette
-Fix all sprites missing right arm chain

With the right permission, I hope you could share your edits someday to let us see and appreciate how good those edits are.

as far as I know, spawn is open source. You don't need permission.

In fact, I only know about it. Before the crusadercast forum ended, Alerquin mentioned that he would leave his creations as an open source.

Here some more updates/edits i did.
Im working on more 8 chars.

Ohh i forgot... what is Thanoseid without gauntlet gems... so i make new hyper with gems...plus few more things.

-Fix dust effect at jump, super jump, run forward, run back, specials, hypers
-Delete push guard effect
-Fix more of AI
-Make new hyper High Rage
-Make new special Wrath Fist
-Make Taunt
-Make Throw
-Make Lose Time Over pose and add speech
-Change Draw Time Over pose and add speech
-Add speech at Rhino Charge special
