Please help MMV avoid adfly being added to Mediafire/4shared/Sendspace and other filesharing links

No one on this website receives any ad revenue of any kind. Ads you may see or adfly references are all coded into forumotion.com templates. They do this to offset their costs on hosting forums for free.

Part of this automatic ad insertion by our server hosts includes adding an adfly link to certain file sharing links.

We need your help to avoid adfly insertion when you post your filesharing links.

So when you share a download link using mediafire, sendspace, 4shared, and many other similar filesharing links (mega/dropbox are not effected), we ask you to please alter the way you post so adfly is not automatically inserted into the link.


Ways to avoid adlfy being automatically added

1) Code your link

To do this, highlight your filesharing link and then click this button in the posting tool bar,

Your filesharing link will appear like this:

2) Remove http://

To do this, delete the http:// portion of the link.

Your filesharing link will appear like this: www.mediafire.com/file/ublgbb4l6cp0yit/new_penguin.zip

3) Put a hyphen (-) in front of the http:// portion of the link

Just put a hyphen (-) in front of the http:// portion of the link

Your filesharing link will appear like this: -http://www.mediafire.com/file/r9r5bd68pe68704/Marvel+vs.+DC+Mugen+Multiverse+Screenpack.rar

*This technique will work if you use any other symbol as well like =, +, %, etc.




Because of this automatic insertion, we need you to avoid embedding your filesharing link (if it is one of the sites that auto adds adfly) into an image for people to click to download

If you want to download a file that has adfly currently automatically attached the link, follow these steps:
- Copy the full link
- Open up a new tab/window
- Paste the full link into the address bar without hitting return
- Delete the adfly portion of the link
- Hit return
