Of course, not as deadly as some Li Long's or Maxi's weapons (especially those with blades as extremities) but still pretty heavy damage

well, it's mixed. sometimes I start from an idea I make on blender (for the stage), then I draw the character on paper, scan it and digitally paint it. of course heavy graphics editing with gimp is necessary to make both things coexist in the same "visual environment" ... enstablishing such stylistic coherence is often a big pain in the ... mind.
some other times it's the opposite (first the drawing, then the stage) but the process is the same anyway.

I once had a blog with such development explained step by step but it had 0 views so I deleted it and I only post w.i.p. states on my facebook page (all of them get erased after I post the final result, though, as it would just be spammy to keep them all). you can stay tuned in there if you're interested, probably I'll be posting about my next work in the future so you can figure it out how I make them.

New one... it's Yajirobei from DragonBall Z (slightly different than the original)

yup, just to stretch facts a little bit, I always like Yajirobei, I mean... he saved mankind by cutting Vegeta's tail, that's some kind of a warrior... so I thought "hey let's give him some dignity, some muscles and a pair of pants!". His blade is also inspired more by the shape of the Z sword (more medieval like, straighter and less curved).
the background is also original, I mean, just inspired by Karin's palace... but it's Yajirobei's senzu seeds farm (that explains the green all around)... since he's a farmer/grower of senzu beans, according to the story

most probably I'll draw some other fan-art next, probably Kazuo Kiriyama (a veeery bad dude) or Mitsuko Soma (a lady, once in a while...), still undecided... stay tuned ^^'

Great piece of art. I always like your coloring style. However, there's one anatomical issue shown here. It's like his head is twisted to the back. You should display his chin.
