"Rikers Island Prison" does not work on mugen 1.1 Can anyone fix this?

I love this stage, a pity not to work in mugem 1.1, if someone can fix this, I would be very grateful!

this a new version of Krypton but only works  via 1.1 but I wanna 1.0

Did you manage to solve this LESSARD? A pity the stage doesnt work. My Carnage have no home now.

Well i have been forgot of this thread brothers sorry.

In fact i was able to make Riker Island stage works (bu t have to remove the red ligth fx)

I try it with a lot of different sprite...

@LESSARD thanks for fixing Riker Island stage. It looks great. Downloading now.

For Krypton:
It is because the sprites are RGB, and MUGEN 1.0 needs 256 color indexed palette. I tried earlier to convert Krypton as well but the sprites get messed up when you convert to 256 color with Fighter Factory. Even using XnConvert the sprites are messed up. It is mostly the effects that are bad after. Regardless there are 348 sprites total in this SFF and most sprites would take a manual adjustment before converting to 256 color palette so you don't mess up the sprites (I would put in a pink for the transparent color on each sprite). Seems like it would be lots of work to fix it, but I can't think of another way it could be fixed.

LESSARD I understand that, I am the same with my projects (Parallax, rancid, trident, etc) just wanting to move forward. Really looking forward to Baraka and Eddie (Eddie being my favorite Tekken Fighter) too.

If anyone wants to take this on (Krypton 1.1 to 1.0 conversion), and wants to learn, please let me know and I can show you (or a bunch of others around here are willing to teach as well). I just don't have the free time to take on this workload. I will say it will be a lot of work, but you will have someone that will teach you how to, and guide you through this process.

its for me this stage ok and ok teach me for repair and converted that stage 1.1 to 1.0 ok?

Throughout this process this will give you a bit of understanding on the characters, and the broken palette issue as well.

OK so here are the supplies that you will need:

1. A photo editor (I use gimp, it is free and powerful enough for most of your MUGEN needs)

2. Fighter Factory (Fighter Factor 3 works well for both 1.0 and 1.1 so best to use this)
http://fighterfactory.virtualltek.com/download  (FF3 is under older versions)
3. A copy of the stage.

Tutorial Part 1 of 2:
1. Open Fighter Factory
2. Click Sprites > Open > Browse to Krypton.SFF
3. Click Sprites > Save Image > Range "All" > OK > Choose directory to save to, a file name, and file format

At this point you will have extracted all the sprites but they will be in RGB mode.
If we were to use Fighter Factory or another Batch image conversion you will get color loss (might still get color loss converting RGB to 256)

4. Open Sprite in Gimp
5. Click on forground and backgournd color to choose a color (I usually use Pink for transperency color)
6. Click the "Select by color" tool
7. Select anywhere there is transparency on the sprite
8. Right click > edit > fill with background color (the transparent color)
9. Click Image > Mode > Indexed > 256 colors > Convert
10. File > export > > choose PCX as file type > update file name (ensuring *.PCX is there) > export


Follow step 4 to 10 for all Sprites. Please let me know if you get stuck on any step throughout this process as well. Also I could maybe do up some screenshots or something too when I have a bit more time (maybe next weekend).

For part 2 we will be on to Applying a Color Palette to the sprites (unless someone else knows a way to apply a color palette during this process to speed things up), putting the sprites back into the SFF and converting the SFF to MUGEN 1.0.
