No... to me JPG is.
After getting a JPEG, when i try to convert them into png or do some editing to the image itself i lose quality of the image, not just in colors, but they also blur the image after being saved.
Jpgs are used for photos, because it saves space on your computer (from losing the quality of the image) period.
However, png is a good image format because it's one of the few image formats that can have transparency
BMP images won't lose quality like many other formats (JPEG is the only one that does it that i can think of), but it stores alot more space in your computer than png, it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you have alot of space in you computer tho.
