How Can I Lock A Character (Make Him Hidden/Unplayable)

I know that you can hide the square portrait on select screen 

But make it unlockable do not know how

What bade is that for black bolt on your portrait

Here is a simple way of doing it. This will work with any screenpack, just edit these values to fit.

Step 1:
Edit these items in your SYSTEM.DEF file (a brief explaination beside each item shows what they do):

rows = 2               ;how many rows vertical (characters)
columns = 5            ;how many columns horizontal (characters)
wrapping = 0           ;1 to let cursor wrap around
showemptyboxes = 0        ;1 to show empty boxes
moveoveremptyboxes = 0    ;1 to allow cursor to move over empty boxes


In this example the cursor can't wrap around, or move over empty boxes. This is the default mugen screenpack where there are 2 rows of 5 characters. What you can do from here is change the rows to 5 and because only 3 rows will fit on the screen, the bottom 2 rows would be hidden and unaccessable to play as.



Step 2:
In your SELECT.DEF file create 3 more rows of 5 columns for the new hidden characters, and create an order for them to play against in arcade mode.

I think I hid Ultron as an unplayable boss on Marvel VS SNK Brawl of Super Heroes. Here's another one for you, my brother, so, if you have The Kingpin as the boss on the Spider-Man fighting game, Marvel fighting game, Marvel VS Capcom or etc. It's for example. If you want to lock your Mugen characters as the boss. Watch this:

Step 1. Double click on data folder, and then double click select.def.

Step 2. Type ;row 5 hidden bonus/boss, kingpin (as an unplayable boss in your game, it's for example), click Save. And then go to Exit. And that's it! :-) Play your Mugen game and check it out and see what happens.
