Thank dream brother, my hope is that I'm doing just that, I want the wips I make to fit with the ye old capcom xmen or marvel characters, as if it was intended for those guys to have them all in the same game
my only issue is wip reveals where there have fans/ experts of a character that seem to have a vision of that character they would rather see, perfect example was avalanche, everyone that didn't like the bases I used wanted the skinny emo evolution version of him, where I grew up reading factor x and freedom force knowing he is meant to be a beefcake stocky man, research is a big part in what I do for making a history behind these characters, like the havok ending, if you beat havok, it would mean the living monolith would come back to our reality, (coz if havol was intact dead that would happen, though his story arcs)
I really put effort into the extra intros and such, and I recently just helped Robiwankonobi fix a few things on his Apocalypse wip, (which mind you is great stuff) and I saw the sane passion he has put into him through the little things just like that, I mean he made about 10 intros/outros all based on different story arcs on apocalypse, I'm so glad to see others add the time to give the characters life, not just fill up nessesary commands to have a shell of that character
all our works get love either from the creators or the fans, and feel its the legacy of our artwork, that we are leaving behind, even if its just sprite work, or code, or whatever it brings to the work that's completed,
