WinMugen vs. Mugen 1.0

Given the earlier talk in the release threads thought we needed a topic about:
- Why it better to update to Mugen 1.0
- Reasons why people sticking with WinMugen

...and whatever else inter-related to that kind of talk.

I think Mugen 1.0 has less errors than Winmugen,but that's not the point.I switched to Mugen 1.0 just because most of these new chars are made for 1.0.

i like winmugen because its alot easier to use

mugen 1.0 is so much more better, due to it's the actual program, and winmugen was a beta program, that worked really well, but mugen 1.0 is the real deal
reasons are:=
* not sure on what mugen 1.0 is,
* not confident in the change
* i' love the way i've already set my screenpack (i'll try to make a screen pack so that it's easy to convert)
* and the lucky last just plain old laziness,

Yeah the only bad side of it is that i have longer loading times when the game is loading. but other than that is much much better

It's silly to NOT use 1.0. With the rare exception of a few characters working only with WinMugen, 1.0 is the way to go. You have better resolutions, full backwards compatibility and less bugging issues.

Convert over, or at least have both versions.

Also, you have a growing list of 1.0 exclusive characters. Sean Altly has some impressive works. You also have scaleable AI. And that's always fun.

I too was also against 1.0 at first. What kept me from upgrading, which I'm sure is the main reason why people are afraid to switch, is that characters won't work on 1.0. I have been cataloging all of my WinMugen stuff and converting it to 1.0 with no issue. Unless if the character you have is a coding atrocity, its gonna work fine. And I have a compilation roster of 720 characters and 540 stages.

both of them are awesome but they should make characters form 1.0 to work on winmugen

You can usually request patches for that...
