a little Idea about wip are

'Sorry men for my bad english,
but, i have a little idea for the forum
i see that the WIPs in the WIP area
have a very good management
so i think..

it could add to the character link
a progress bar with the status of work

(if the author likes the idea, and it'll be possible,
maybe with a "general table" to indicate point
of development of a character
(stance, single hit, super, special, hyper, combo pose, palette etc....
and with this information generate a percent number)

i know that a plugin like this doesn't tell when a char will be relased,
but could be usefull to people that can help the single author,
or simple help to stop ask "when you release it?"

This is a brilliant idea!!!

Perhaps we can make them smileys? Like when a creator posts a single sprite for his new wip, he can add a smiley under his character sprite, if he wants to, to show where progress is for him when he posted that. Optional to he can post it whenever showing more progress to down the thread later on.

Maybe even make separate ones to go under the next one to indicate coding progress as well?

you mean next to the progress bar? Well in that case just write before the emote the number and percentage manually, I guess   

I broke the levels down to a rough percentage display.

1%  ..........................................................single sprite edit

25%  ..........................................................animations started

50%  ..........................................................half the sprites finished

75%   ..........................................................playable now

99%  ..........................................................complete or near completion


Similar concept for coding progress bar (blue), basically the same idea.  

Should we change this idea a bit more? Should we label them sprites/code? Are the colors good?

I was thinking of extending the emotes a bit with a blank space in between to allow multiple progress meters for more wips in signatures or threads

Yeah, red = spriting, blue = coding.

I guess they should be labeled then?

But I'm wondering where the label would go?

I say put in "Sprits" right on the bar and high light when empty/full  black or white?

to bad we can't put this as a flash smiley and put what ever number we want insert image like this :S=100%:

then again it might slow down the pages so better off like before unless we spoiler them


you could put a 0% and a N/A witch just has an X on the bar saying don't have it or need it
red and blue X though

Well it was all bolt crank's idea.

The forum has really developed now. I just love how all these little features together make this forum so pleasant to navigate and use.

I can just imagine how our forum will look in 10 years?   Maybe we'll have animated font and glowing "reply" buttons.   

anyway we can have the thing like cc has when you log in it says "replys to your posts" that link that shows the replys to all your current posts/topics. its a bitch sometimes to refind a topic you where watching if the person who origionally made it puts it somewhere it makes no sense.

We have "View your posts" under the news block thing at the top of the forum/right side.

Though I'm not shy about copying an idea
