I think they are zoid guns, try googling zoids gun sprites and you should get a hit.

Maybe you can guide or be inspired by the comics and edit your own version of the protoncanon considering some Cyberbots or Metal Slug stuff.
A more robust version than Iron Man using a large arsenal in his move set is a good idea for War Machine to differentiate itself.

If that's what I was thinking, I don't want it to look anything like ironman because warmachine for me is one more type of weapon I would like this version to have a flamethrower, submachine guns, bombs, missiles and some attacks will be based on the version of Mccready and Logansam

Clever, that's what I was talking about. Also I see there are even some weapons at 45 ° for anti-aircraft attacks. You have no need to rotate sprites and lose quality.

Aseprite helps with rotation of sprite with no (or minimum) loss of quality.
