That hyper fits Retsu very well. He looks pretty smooth. Glad to see Retsu is still in the works, no doubt one of my most anticepated characters out there.

Yes, your sprites are well drawn.
But in this animation I feel there is lacking something after the moment Retsu spins.

I really can't say accurately what is missing besides that two things:

1 - Maybe the part after the spin is a little too harsh and need some in between sprites to make this more fluid.

2 - I feel that your kick is lacking some impact. About that I really can't say what to do with precision besides to show that two examples of what I'm saying:

Budha´s Palm (Hyper) is a really cool move.
Maybe you could reduce the size of the Fire Palm Energy and also do it in a Special and horizontal movement.
