Halloween Event 2018 in only a few days!!!

I love the MMV events.
I'm going to make an effort to contribute with some new stage, it's not my intention to stay out of this Halloween!

I don't really have anything to show off, but i'll try some characters and give in my thoughts

For the very first time I think I have something to share with you all. It's Mugen related but can be used for other things as well.

I cant promise anything but there is a slight chance i might be done with a long awaited beta by the time the event rolls around
im hoping to get some voice acting talent before i find my self having to do all the voices myself
what im lacking at this point is intro outro animations and a second hyper

@Midnight-Son even if it is not ready for Halloween, you can always show off a teaser of it.
We will be having a Christmas Event too, so we could start building hype for that

Hello everyone. I have been busy planning the event, and working with a few people on projects in private trying to get as much as possible completed for the event. Who knows there might even be some other surprises released before the event

Small contribute to the event. I'm going to release Scarecrow today (with special hypers when my edited Batman, Alucard or Slenderman is a UNO Tag-Team Partner).

You know I've been waiting for this one. I didn't think it was going to happen before Halloween.

MMV Halloween event trick or treat coming soon...

Showing the last bit of Michael Myers minor color separation and some pretty cool palettes by Yolomate. I haven't added anything else new as I have been busy with other releases and the event.

Because I've been teasing everyone with this for so long I will confirm here is what is in store for one of my treats for Halloween...




MMV Halloween event Michael Myers Revamp V0.5

Revamp V0.5 by thatguy

What's done (almost all new elements seen in the video):
Minor Color Separation complete (to make palettes work)
Fixed palettes
New intro added
New winpose added
New Knife throw added (standing)
New grab new knife after throw (standing)
Created new knife throw for air
New Knife throw added (air)
Created new knife throw for crouching
New Knife throw added (crouch)
-added crouch to stand, and grab a new knife anim
Fixed CLSNs
Sprites Aligned (mostly)
Added some extra combos

I revamped the way the knife throw works as well (as seen in the video):
The crouch will throw a knife upward (I made custom sprites)
The stand will throw the knife forward
The air will throw the knife downward (I made custom sprites)


Future plans (Revamp V1.0):
Clean up the code - might re-code him as 6 button
Make him less stiff
Ramp up his AI
Add Superjump
Add grab another knife in air


Download coming this Halloween event

do you plan to implement any of the classic sounds from the movie during some hypers? As a matter fact does he have any hypers? Didn’t see any in the video

Maybe 1 intro can be some kids standing there then his theme music starts and they run off screen the other way as he walks onto the scene

He does not really have any hypers. He is built to be a Mortal Kombat Style 4 button character currently.
I spent most my time on him cleaning up the sprites so far.

I stated my plans for him. Not sure if I will add to the list above as I have other projects to get back to. Only time will tell

Oh ok that’s whats up! Glad to see someone at least working with those sprites. The spriter has a lot of interesting characters sprited with no coders
