@LESSARD thanks for the support. Yes I totally agree he has so much more potential. I'm only updating the sprites, not the code. The coding will still be from the original release from CVS Artist, with the updated sprites. It is still gartanham's wish as is mine to have Jago coded MVC style with Killer Instinct Combos in the style of Orchid 2D by ahrimanes.
Speaking of the code...I will release this with the original CVS coding (pending CVS artist's permission on the coding side), unless someone comes around to re-code him. If someone wants to re-code as MVC style (with Killer Instinct Combos in the style of Orchid 2D by ahrimanes), then there can be 2 styles of releases (CVS as original coder preference, and MVC as original spriter preference as is mine) and we would be ever so grateful. If you are interested in the re-code PM gartamham or myself.
Showing off more progress (although I didn't rip GIFs of the originals this time):

@yolomate I agree with you that the skin needs more shades. I may go back and do this and a couple other things I noticed late in the update of the sprites. I took this on as a quick time-killer project (as you know), and it turned out to be a little more work than that. So far I have added the sword, holster, sash, belt, face, elbow, boots on missing frames while going through removing the black lines. I noticed recently that the wrist bands over the glove (or whatever they are) are missing on a bunch of sprites too (FML as I'm well over 50% done the sprites LOL). The wrist bands, and any other things not in yet will have to wait for another release.
@Dj luke Thanks to everyone for the support.
Progress is slower, but still moving along well. I'm still going to be done to make a summer release for Jago (MMV's Birthday). I might release a couple other things as well for MMV's birthday if I have time to clean them up before then.
Here is some progress, maybe next time I'll make another video with him side by side with the original and a preview for something else I'm working on.

Here is the latest video of Jago by Gartanham & CVS Artist sprite update by me. It shows original Jago Vs new Jago, Jimmy Olsen (original sprites by G.M.Spectre) WIP, Parallax (original sprites by G.M.Spectre edited from Mambo's Green Lantern), and showing a couple new winposes for Luke Skywalker (By Fabrytaz & Shags2dope) that I added to my Luke.
OK here is a new video:

Just another tease for Jago... this time showing off the awesome new Palettes created by @yolomate and does he ever look slick with these new colors.
I think Jago is happy with them...
Jago is 70% complete...

Some stuff just screwing around as I haven't had much time this week to work (Orchid is not WIP, just to show compatibility ):
Jago is now compatible with B Orchid's Boobality Finishing move (Yes it's a move in the cartoon version, not sure on the name). For those interested I have the eyes ripped, and will be pulling the appropriate code into a template and will post when complete. I usually use the "stand to crouch" or "landing frame" for this, and you only need 4 sprites.
Crouch Attacks:
Jago Update: Only Air attacks and specials to update before complete. I may have time to fit in a few extras too for his summer release.
