New To Multiverse- Need step by step help please

Hi,

My brother and I are BRAND new to all of this but desperately want to get set up to play. I cannot find a good tutorial for noobs, nor can I find a good link to even get started. I would gladly pay someone to help me get set up with a good number of characters so I can do the same for my brother. I need step by step instruction and some current links if someone could help I would appreciate it so much!

Download Mugen from any website of your choice, then to make it simple download VSelect. Put VSelect in the mugen folder and it will let you skip the coding of the game.

Ok I have downloaded a copy of Multiverse I can open it and I only have one character. I have downloaded Vselect.exe and put it in the Mugen 1.1 file. How do I access characters?

Can you post a few links on where I can get quality characters?

the screenpack comes with 1 char (jubilee, 2015 MMV char of year) and a stage by me (x-mansion library)

should figure out how to add more content to that since that is what the majority of people that are in mugen do...especially since new stuff is released all the time and need to add that then. well, don't need to. that is the beauty of mugen, people add what they want. no one's mugen is the same meaning completely customizable

In my MUGEN opinion, the easiest way to to add new characters/stages to your MUGEN is, trying to edit the select.def MUGEN file (usually in [your mugen engine folder]\data\select.def), by using your own Text Editor (i.e. MS NotePad):
Find the lines between the line [Characters] and [ExtraStages] in your select.def MUGEN file:
  kfm, stages/kfm.def
  kfm720, stages/kfm.def
Then change to or add something like this:
  Superman_char, stages/Superman_stage.def
  Batman_char, stages/Batman_stage.def

** "Superman_char" is an example MUGEN character you have downloaded, normally you put the Superman_char\ folder in [your mugen engine folder]\chars\ folder, and make sure inside the Superman_char\ folder there is a Superman_char.def MUGEN file
** "Superman_stage.def" is an example MUGEN stage (game background) you have downloaded, normally you put the Superman_stage.def and Superman_stage.sff MUGEN files in [your mugen engine folder]\stages\ folder, and if the MUGEN stage comes with a music (i.e. Superman_stage.mp3), then you need to put the music in [your mugen engine folder]\sound\ folder
