| Subject: I have a quick question about Mediafire copyright and MUGEN June 22nd 2016, 2:20 pm | |
| So I hosted a file on a MUGEN site, someone decided to reupload it without my conscent as well as using it to harass/make fun of me and I would like to take it down. Would it be okay to file a DMCA claim on it? If so, what do I say considering it's a file that is a zip folder with contents that may be confusing to those who don't know MUGEN? | |

| what do you mean by to harass you? Have you got strong enough reasons to do it take it down? confusing to those who don't know about mugen? of course it is, but no one cares about that, mugen's characters, stages, screenpack, etc are meant for people who know about mugen and know how to implement them in the engine | |

| Yes. The original upload was reuploaded on another site in Mediafire without my permission. That's pretty much copyright.
Harassment involves drama from another community. So I am not gonna reveal that. It's also in a chat so yeah. Can't show proof. | |

| Well, similar thing once happened to me in 2015-11 too.......... ...........but not working.......... In 2015-11 I made and released a "Custom_Experimental_TRF2_Greed" MUGEN character, the download file size was big because I included a lot of IMPORTANT information. Yet, some MUGEN dude from another MUGEN forum tried to delete all IMPORTANT information and re-uploaded his unauthorized butchered version to MediaFire as a MUGEN news item for his MUGEN forum. Everybody using that unauthorized butchered version just missed all the IMPORTANT information about my "Custom_Experimental_TRF2_Greed" MUGEN character because of this. I tried to send a reporting e-mail to MediaFire but MediaFire's reply e-mail was not useful....... - My reporting e-mail to MediaFire...:
"To Whom It May Concern,
I am Borewood and I have a valid mediafire.com account. I am writing to report an abuse that may be considered a misuse of my recently uploaded file that is about my hobby.
Recently I compiled a ZIP file and uploaded to mediafire.com: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xmzymc54p2qbsf7/Custom_Experimental_TRF2_Greed_2015-11-17.zip And I am sharing this ZIP file with my fellow hobbyists.
Later I found out that some unauthorized person tried to modify my recently uploaded ZIP file to mediafire.com yet in which he/she deleted and altered some important parts in my original uploaded ZIP file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/uncay20hai0efno/Custom_Greed.rar
Therefore, I am sending a request to see if you can help me by disabling or deleting the above "uncay20hai0efno/Custom_Greed.rar" by some unauthorized person.
Thank you very much for your help and time.
Borewood"
