I know you said its a old project so maybe you should use a new base for the cat one that has mvc sf CVS shading so it feels like it belongs I'll go look up a base bronze tiger looks good I'll see what I can do to help once I look in to him I think I still have a sprite sheet of that base with most color separation that you could use
