@dakidbanks:
>> There's absolutely nothing wrong with giving feedback to gameplay/code improvements although I do agree that some "personal"
aggressive comments are unnecessarySo true!
Like I said, "wording/language" choice can make a biiiiiiiiiiiig difference!
Just imagine this MUGEN case:
- a MUGEN character is found to have a hyper move that gives back MUGEN Power
case 1): "hey, your MUGEN character gives back some MUGEN Power to its hyper move, what gives!?
heck, you've never played fighting games before right I suppose? man you suck stinky
toes big time! you should stop making MUGEN stuff because yours is a MUGEN shame, and
even stop making MUGEN'ing your hobby at all!!!! you do no MUGEN testing before releasing
MUGEN crap like that!? what? you can improve? how wonky...and....we won't don't bother
with your MUGEN updates any more because we know you just suck that's it!"
case 2): "sorry but your MUGEN character gives back some MUGEN Power to its hyper move, if you are going to
update it then you may want to fix this MUGEN bug. and don't worry, this is not a serious MUGEN fix
to do, we know you can do it and we will wait patiently for your MUGEN update!"
Now, if you were the targeted MUGEN creator/author in the above MUGEN case, then how would you feel about the both cases like those? It is not hard to guess what your MUGEN reaction could be like............unless your MUGEN E.Q. is over 1000,0000,0000..........only inhumans can have such ridiculous MUGEN E.Q. level........
Well, since there is no way to control one's MUGEN feedback in the first place, the targeted MUGEN creator/author must need to see either or both cases. Okay, a couple of case 1)'s given by MUGEN feedback givers who don't care about the art of "wording/language" is understandable, but, when the same MUGEN feedback giver keeps insulting any particular targeted MUGEN creator/author, then this is what I call the "
MUGEN e-haunting" -- just imagine a MUGEN e-ghost that tries to follow you from one place to another........oh my guts I bet which human being was born to like to see case 1) more than case 2) if you found one then please let me know.......
I give MUGEN feedback some times. Yet when doing so, I often watch my "wording/language" choice because I do know it can make a biiiiiiiiiiig difference -- discouraging or encouraging.
Like my recent MUGEN feedback to Count Duckula's beta by WlanmaniaX here:
http://mugenmultiverse.fanbb.net/t7105-count-duckula-s-beta-release
I found some MUGEN issues with that and I tried to post what I found and made some MUGEN suggestions, without adding any unnecessary "salt & pepper". You can hardly see me using any discouraging "wording/language" in my MUGEN feedback posts, simply because I fully understand "wording/language" choice makes a biiiiiiiiiiig difference.......and most importantly, I like WlanmaniaX's Count Duckula and I have HOPE in it therefore I have my PATIENCE with WlanmaniaX. And PATIENCE breeds PEACE & LOVE. Many MUGEN feedback givers just don't have PATIENCE at all, not to mention that expecting some RESPECT from them nowadays is already a MUGEN luxury..........
* I am not say I am a good MUGEN feedback giver, but at least I don't try to
e-haunt anybody as it is some very unhelpful and unhealthly act.
I am not talking about "free or $$$-oriented" stuff, I am talking about "hey I try to piss you off on purpose, I know you dislike this kind of comments [me SUCCESS!] so I am on the right track to easily trigger your MUGEN root like that, for no real reasons and no matter what you do with your MUGEN'ing and all I want is to make you give up your MUGEN hobby" aka
MUGEN e-haunting. Is it so hard to just care for somebody's else MUGEN feeling when giving your cool MUGEN feedback!?
It is so easy to discourage any people like that; while it takes a lot of PATIENCE/RESPECT/PEACE & LOVE/RESPECT/PASSION/HEARTS/COURAGE to try to encourage someone you like/even you dislike.
By the way, a "wording/language" choice can reflect one's "what have you been taught in all those/these years" level too...........
