Well, I don't know why I would try to mugenize this character.......normally not my MUGEN type..... ...might be it is about a fictional story in Canada, a country to which I would like to travel when I have enough $$$? Anyway, here is Anne of Green Gables from a 2DFM95 game by しゅう さま called "World Masterpiece Battle" for MUGEN1.0. "World Masterpiece Battle" is based on an old 1908 novel by "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
Custom 2DFM95 Anne of Green Gables profile - Anne Shirley: An imaginative, talkative, red-headed orphan who comes to live with Matthew Cuthbert and Marilla Cuthbert. Anne is very sensitive and is pathologically insecure about the color of her hair. She exhibits categorical interest in everything romantic. - Matthew Cuthbert and Marilla Cuthbert live at Green Gables, their Avonlea farmhouse on Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. - my Custom 2DFM95 Anne of Green Gables is not very faithful to the source 2DFM9 game "World Masterpiece Battle".... - Anne's normal moves are very limited and not useful, almost pathetic....... - Anne is not a combo-happy girl in MUGEN and she relies more her special and hyper moves....... - Anne's MUGEN A.I. is made weaker than some of my other MUGEN characters.....
Custom 2DFM95 Anne of Green Gables MUGEN button layout: x - weak punch y - strong punch z - not used a - weak kick b - strong kick c - not used start - taunt (gives Anne a bit of MUGEN Power) F,F - run forward B,B - hop backward normal throw - get close to P2 and hold forward/backward then press "y"
Custom 2DFM95 Anne of Green Gables MUGEN moves list:
"Blossom Jump" - press UB/U/UF during non-hyper moves and ground blocks/guards to immediately perform a normal jump * requires and consumes MUGEN Power 250/3000 * cannot do it during a taunt
"Dandelion Blow" - D,DF,F x/y (on ground only) * just a horizontal projectile special move......
"Thank-you Dance" - D,DB,B x/y (on ground only) * just a vertical projectile special move......
"Blackboard Smash" - D,DF,F a/b (on ground only) * a special throw move which is one of the most famous scene in the original novel, anime, and movies
"Machine Gun Kick" - F,F a/b (on ground only) * a rush-and-attack special move......probably the most unfitting move for Anne...... ...not sure why しゅう さま gave her this move.....
"Friendship Forever" - D,DF,F x+y (on ground only) * a hyper move that Anne's best friend Diana joins in to make a friendship vow together * requires and consumes MUGEN Power 1000/3000
"Diana come to the rescue" - D,DF,F x+y (on ground only and during ground get-hits) * a hyper move that Anne's best friend Diana tries to rescue Anne when Anne is getting hits * requires and consumes MUGEN Power 1500/3000
"Snow Queen" - D,DF,F a+b (on ground only) * a hyper move that Anne's favorite tree, Snow Queen, pops up and drops some leaves down..... * requires and consumes MUGEN Power 1000/3000
!!!!! a special MUGEN-only feature !!!!! - in the original novel, anime, and movies, whenever somebody called Anne "carrots" for teasing her red hair, Anne would just go crazy and lose all her manners. In my MUGEN version when P2 tries to do a taunt (strictly speaking, when P2 enters the StateDef 195), Anne will get mad for 500 MUGEN game ticks and she will gain some advantages and disadvantages: + she cannot be thrown by P2 (in fact she is immune to being sent to a custom state) + her walk/run/jump is speeded up + her MUGEN Power increases by 100% (3000/3000) - she cannot do a taunt because she is very angry! - she cannot do both hyper moves because both Snow Queen and Diana are afraid of Anne's anger.... - her defense decreases by about 50% (50/100)

Oh wow!!
Would have never guessed in a million years to see Anne of Green Gables for MUGEN!! I´ve watched the Nippon Animation tv series back in my youth (called "Anne mit den roten Haaren" in germany).
German Intro
Very obscure & unexpected release.
Some feedback...
- she´s supposed to be a weak char, but she does very very little damage, even in her hypers
- add soft knockdown property to some of her basic attacks (jumping strong kick p.e. or standing strong punch or kick)
- If you wanna stay "true" to the chars nature you shouldn´t update with those two suggestions up here. She is a very weak MUGEN fighter, but that´s ok.
- her normal attacks are very short ranged. Maybe add some easy chain comboing - weak punch/kick into strong punch/kick (pushback on weak punch is so big that you can´t hit with her strong punch afterwards)
- I really enjoy how you managed her "Carrot" rage! Very unique, have never seen that in MUGEN.
- the stage is very basic with no animations & a lot of color loss... I know, it´s the "source game" material.
- add more palettes to her

EDIT:
Hmm, Anne is not affected by "Super Pause"... A.I. can move & attack even when p2 goes into his super pause and she was not in her "Carrot" rage. This is kinda cheap but gives her a advantage that she might need...

Well, when in the corner, Anne can do this normal chain: jump-in "y"->standing "x"->crouching "a" and then cancel into either D,DB,B x/y or F,F a/b. I think I will just leave her normal moves as is for now. She should be replying more on her specials and hypers while not in the corner. Yes, I gave this peculiar capability to Anne on purpose (well, not in-affective all the times though), regardless of her being teased by "carrots" or not for humans and A.I.. You might see it as some kind of experiment done in a MUGEN character. Like you mentioned, Anne is so weak in MUGEN.

Unlike most normal attacks, which leave the opponent standing or crouching after hit, attacks that cause Knockdown will knock down the opponent as the name implies.
A Soft Knockdown will cause the opponent to go into a lying down state on hit. Once the opponent touches the ground, they will be able to Tech the Knockdown, causing them to get back up into a standing state much sooner than they normally would. So fall.recover = 1 in the HitDef.

Anne of Green Gables vs. Ant-Man.....me laughing my ass off at the end is because this was the most gonzo fight I've ever seen (that's a compliment to Borewood, by the way).

System sounds are too loud and are all over the place. All of her attacks have blue clsn covering the red entirely. This means every attack will trade at best. The few exceptions are her crouching sweep, her grab special, and QCB+P (which is hilariously too good due to those hitboxes basically covering the entirety of Anne so that you can't even jump over her. These attacks take way too long to use. Even her jabs come out slower than most people's heavy attacks. Specials have tons of start up and lots of ending lag. Supers are entirely useless due to this. The Diana call super won't start until Diana makes her way to Anne, which means it'll either come out instantly if she's all the way to the back of the screen, or it'll take a while for her to hop over, during which point you can hit Anne and stop it. Even if she hangs out with Diana, she's still completely vulnerable, so if you sweep her while she's talking to Diana you can end the super early and Diana walks away like nothing happened. He sped up Anne's voice clip for the light version of the QCB+P, so it sounds like a chipmunk is saying it. Her gethit voices and death cry are so different from her usual sounds they could probably be from another character I don't know what sorcery he did but fighting Anne eliminates superpause entirely from opponent characters which results in all sorts of weird-looking animations and shit. I thought I made a horrible mistake in Pupa's last update until I found out more characters were doing it. It doesn't happen on some chars (ie: Roken's Violent Ken), but it happens on a few others (ie: My Pupa, Pneophen's Kasugano+, Felineki's Akuma...)

I wish しゅう さま could have made a standalone version of Diana in "World Masterpiece Battle"... I tried to mugenize a "Anne of Green Gables" because I found the "World Masterpiece Battle" 2DFM95 video game and Anne is from Canada and I kind of like Canada even I have never been there. yet I already made it be able to hit only once so any multiple-hit projectiles can hit Anne in MUGEN

I am not Umineko Kinzo yet anti-pause/anti-pause is not something new in MUGEN......... If you find it disturbing then you may just open Custom_2DFM95_Anne.cns and look for MUGEN code that has the "[State -2, SuperPause] ;anti-SuperPause" and "[State -2, Pause] ;anti-Pause" headings and then delete those lines of MUGEN state controller code
So, in my Anne update I will try to do these changes: - to add the missing blue collision box to her 440 Action which is the crouching strong trip-down kick - to disable all anti-pause/anti-pause MUGEN code - to replace the "carrots" taunt move's "she cannot be thrown by P2 (in fact she is immune to being sent to a custom state)" with "her attack increases by about 50% (50/100)" - to add (?) perhaps some more normal chains capability suggested by Staubhold

Luckily しゅう さま gave source voices to his Anne/Katri/Nello in his 2DFM95 "World Masterpiece Battle"....
And........Diana for the win!!!
To me, Diana > Anne.

Borewood: the Ant-Man I had against Anne of Green Gables was the one made by Arkady.
Also, my laughing in the video wasn't in mockery of either character---it was me laughing at how insane the fight was. Seriously, I've never seen flower petals and dandelions used as weapons in a fight before, so it was hilarious to see Ant-Man take damage from getting hit by flowers. And yes, Anne is really on my roster to stay.
