| very sad indeed,
Idk if this matters since im quite new here, but I know how it feels, in 2009 through 2012 before the wii game mod scene died i created custom Guitar heroes, i did it all, Altered in game menu, notes, loading screens, and hidden content for different titles over those years, from making a GH About WWE Themes, GH about queen, to even my Ambitious "and canceled project" Michael Jackson GH. As i was finishing programming the Tier Videos for the HIStory career i notice that some one took my old projects, removed my logo from the games box art, slapping ther own logo on it and said it was theirs. Boy, after hours of Charting Songs "which took 4 Hours a song, 70 songs a Game" and for my work to be taken from me like that, i canceled my MJ game after all videos were in the game, all menus, loading screens, and text where done, not to mention the 75 of 90 song tracklist being done. and i stopped creating Custom GH games because of some one else.
It sucks that some one does that to your work, and though as a fan of your work and of the MK franchise, if you feel like you lost the drive to work on it, i dont blame you. but as i learned from my past a bit too late, dont lose the drive to do something you like due to some People with no respect for your projects, because it seems more people love to see this project completed. and hey if their is any bright side to this, at least they didnt claim your work for their own.

| thank you all, I know it's not fair and I know that he should not end like this ... I had in mind for the next update of doing incredible things to make this game something unique ... I wanted to make great animated portraits as in mkx, I was able to figure out how to put more clothes (with different sprites) in the same character ... I had begun an update of ermac to make sure that he had behind the legacy of the classic ninja suit that too ... for reptile had done as promised a clock mode and much more ... but unfortunately the greed and stupidity of people leads to the ruin of the people themselves .... it's true, maybe i should not abandon my projects, but unfortunately like a father wants the best for its sons, I want the best for my creations and I think this is the best, at least for the moment ... | |

| can i suggest something the reason people were able to take the characters out of the game as is was that you made the files for the characters and stages hidden and if a person has it set to show all hidden files they will be available to just take out and use. so i know some people use molebox to prevent this maybe you should too and no one will be able to do as they did before | |

| Awesome video, looking good man. If you're stopping work on the project though, is the video just to show everyone what we're going to be missing out on? You're seriously throwing in the towel after all the work you put into this project? Who cares if some doosh attempted to take credit for something that EVERYONE already knows is yours, and yours alone, if that is what happened. That's like some guy walking up to your wife and saying they're taking her from you, and rather than stand up for what's yours, you just abandon her and let them take her from you. I was really looking forward to this project's completion, and am extremely disappointed with your decision to let it go over such a small and honestly, expected thing. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but if the guy just unmoleboxed your molebox, then released the characters on mugen archive or something, that isn't taking credit for your work (unless he did actually take credit), it's just a dick move from an impatient person who can't respect your wishes to not do that. All your fans and supporters already know it's your work, and have probably already took it upon themselves to let him know that on your behalf. Mugen drama seems to be the one constant in the Mugen community CNS, and I see no reason why this debacle wouldn't receive it's fair share. All the guy did was paint a giant "I'm a doosh-bag!" poster on his name, and that's it. If you just can't sleep with the thought of him getting "hey man, thanks for the character" or "+1" comments from the few people out there that don't know it's yours, then by all means, thanks for the awesome demos, too bad it failed over pride. Moleboxing something is basically like asking or testing someone to unmolebox it though, and it should just be expected to happen ahead of time since, people are people. All you can really do is just cross your fingers it doesn't happen, but don't give up if it does. Or do, the choice is obviously yours. I definitely supported you and your project though, and am not happy at all about this news whatsoever. As I said, I'm not privy to the exact details of what happened, just the general spiel from the video. I haven't heard a good reason to abandon your fans though, especially if that reason is some unknown person taking credit for your work from a few other unknown people. The people that were actually looking forward to this project and supported it, and actually matter, know exactly who's work it is, and could care less about some insignificant...dude. I can't be the only one that thinks this way. Hopefully I'm just saying what everyone's already thinking. Movies and games get pirated all the time, but they still get made thankfully. What kind of respect would you have for actors, directors, or anyone if they just gave up after being challenged or met with some form of unfortunate event? Basically, all I'm saying in all this text is, with all due respect, and I mean that, grow a pair. What would Scorpion do? | |

i think the difference here is that while you think its not a big deal, he might have a different view, a different opinion on the situation, what you see as just simple of characters, he may see as a disrespect of his work, even if he was credited, after all his original intentions was for his characters to be only for his game or maybe finish the game first before releasing the characters separately for people who want the characters only. Im sure alot of hours was put into each character and the thought of his characters being ripped from his game before it even being completed could be a Drive killer for his project. now that i see people modifying his characters 'Goro and Scorpion from what i seen" and it can get bothering knowing that your work is being tampered with before you can polish it yourself. If he feels the need to stop the project i hope he doesnt regret it do to others tampering, and as the people following the project should understand that others have their point of view of things and we should respect his decision instead of saying grow a pair.

| as said taker236 is not cowardice or other .... I bother me that I have not had time to complete my work time already some idiot has seen fit to change it on his own, and what is worse is who then he reloaded his changes taking credit as if he had the character when he actually made only one change of shit ... if some people had not been so assholes at this time I would have made a great full game and then I would have thought to encode the characters so that they could also work out of the full game in an optimal way, but because the world is also populated by fools we are at this point ... I never asked for money for my works, I only had the pleasure to share one thing and one to be remembered for this, but since there aren't 'even respect for my person and for my will my projects become private | |

| I understand what you're both saying, and totally respect your views, but I still believe that some person attempting to take credit for your work, whether it's a mugen project or anything else, and however many hours were put into it, is a pretty poor reason to just up and quit. Like I said, what happened is unfortunate, and I can understand it being extremely frustrating, but I'm not joking in saying that it should have been expected from the beginning. Unless you're completely new to mugen, it's no secret at all that every time someone moleboxes something, someone else unmoleboxes it, especially if it's good, and usually releases it somewhere because people can be dooshbags. If all it took to cancel the project was someone doing what everyone knew was going to happen if a molebox was released, then videos of the project just should have been shown until the project was finished, so the inevitable could have just been avoided. I also just believe that if you care about something, defend it, don't walk away from it. I guess saying to grow a pair was harsh, but I honestly did mean it respectfully, as I would say the same to my brother if he was not being a man. I mean it in a supporting way.
@Fabry Taz I wasn't sure or not until you clarified if the guy just posted your characters, or if he took credit for them also. It's stupid he actually did try to take credit for your work, even if him receiving a few undeserving compliments does nothing but serve his ego? I honestly mean no disrespect, but I still think that's a poor reason to abandon all the work you've done. Maybe it's just me, but I'm mad for you. Round up the torches and pitchforks! Did you try going to wherever he posted them, and setting the record straight? I'm sure it wouldn't take much, since you have a long history of proof. I wasn't trying to say you were cowardly at all, I was just saying that you should stand up for your work instead of just getting mad, and giving up. You truly should have known this was going to happen though, since if it didn't, you would be one of the only creators I know of that released a molebox that didn't have it happen. It's really unfortunate, because if your supporters knew that's all it was going to take to have the project cancelled, we would have warned you and told you not to release demos. Moleboxing something is kind of similar to the saying, "those who live by the sword, die by the sword". Those who live by the molebox, die by the unmolebox. It's too bad. I wrote all this only to try to plea to you how much of a tragedy this is. I can and do accept your decision to make it private, it's just too bad it's publicity was made of quicksand. Best of luck though finishing your project, and again, thanks for letting us test it out for you this far. It was great while it lasted.

| Only these days I really appreciate how much this project to be loved ... that tell you, you are the most stubborn fans of the world, and adore you for this ... I resume my projects, but until the final version, there will be no releases. ..spero that I should not regret in the future of this decision | |
