Jatz is a grouchy and insecure pirate, with a "the world's against me!" Mentality. Every little mishap sets him off, and sends him on a verbal rampage of obscenities and hand-gestures. When his rage becomes physical, the prime targets he sets his sights on are usually expensive items that are next to impossible to replace, or various kitchen items. But, Jatz is capable of compassion, especially when it comes to his shipmate, Derrick; a sixteen year-old boy who always read stories of the infamous 3-Jay pirate ship, but never thought in his wildest dreams, he would not only board the once sunken relic, but also meet the captain! Derrick never stops to question the nonsensical orders of his captain, due to him being understanding of the trauma to Jatz' brain after being hit in the face with the cannonball he now wields, seeking revenge on Ashkuria of the SeaHawk, whom fired said cannonball the night Captain James Jonathan Jackson who now refers to himself as "Jatz," was murdered.

Since he's back from the dead, doesn't that make him invincible?

No. What is given can be taken away. Just because he was given a second chance after his corpse was exposed to Buck Acid, does not mean he's invulnerable. Yes, he's very strong and can withstand the most gruesome of punishment, but his life would end if the acidic steroid were to be removed from his bloodstream.

Why does he have goat legs?

Actually, unseen in these frames, he also has a lion's tail. He's a collection of random creatures, thrown together. He's part human, part goat, part lion, part insect, and part Maglax, which is a species of what look to be eyeballs that walk on strong humanoid arms. Jatz has the arms of a Maglax. Also, he would have a lower-body similar to that of a human-being... Had the people who discovered and buried him the day after he died, let him keep his lower-torso.

What super-powers does he possess?

BUCK FORCE: Strength and durability only comparable to that of Buck. A bonus being regeneration of severed limbs!

NUCLEAR PLASMA: Powerful nuclear waste that lurks within his stomach. With it, he can shoot orb-like projectiles; spit a puddle of the stuff for crooks to step in and slowly melt into; and shoot a straight lazer-beam!

HAND-CANNON: Not exactly a super-power, but a personal weapon to the captain. An iron hand-cannon with bull horns at the end of the barrel, and a trigger, which is a golden ball at the back of it that you have pull in order to launch cannonballs. Jatz puts the golden ball in his mouth and throws his head back to fire it, due to his lack of a reliable right hand.

GUT-ROPE: It is as it sounds... He can dig into himself and remove a strand of his his own intestines and use it like a rope to reach surfaces, otherwise too high up for him. He has his own disgusting grappling-hook/lasso type deal going on within him.
