The current wip of Doomsday is using maccready's character although I am not planning to use his character for this wip aside from the sprites edited from Venom and the Hulk from Capcom/Marvel's game of MvC. Instead I'll be using a juggernaut mugen character to build Doomsday on.

if mccready draws something from complete scratch i might request his permission though, but it may not be necessary for a hobby like mugen where stuff is created for free file sharing and just for the fun of it.

this is also the view of mugen fighters guild and some other forums as well.

if mccready doesn't like it, he can pm me about it personally.

well, i mean no drama and you do what you want.. but in reality this is just like been lazy.. if you have venom and hulk sprites available why not just franken them yourself and edit your own work like that.. i seen this thing going around in those other sites your are right.. i do not agree with it because its just guys coming around been lazy by grabbing something its already done.. yes spriters get their sprites from capcom and dont ask permission but they dont care what we do as long as its not for commercial purposes.. some of the good spriters are not motivated because of this same reasons.. dont get me wrong, i do understand what you saying here.. this is just my point of view on this matter.. we all got same resources here so there is not really a good excuse.. i didnt know this site support that stuff too so sorry to bring it up...

If I did franken them myself, they would end up very much the same, as using Venom and Hulk used together will always look the same as Guido's base. Also to edit someone else's hard work requires hard work to

Not saying I did more than the original editors but I did some work to, So I am lazy, but not entirely lazy in my opinion. I shouldn't be praised for it though, again I am doing this to get a nice character to play with, not to take away from mccready. He is all ready known for his work, nothing I do will change that, if he cares about reputation that is; because I sure don't. I share it because other people want this doomsday to. I am nobody to deny them that, no matter how bad it turns out, someone wants it, I might as well give them a link :p

The view in the mugen community has changed a lot since your time as the first editors.

However

Despite our differences, I would love it if you and Loganir stayed here and continued to visit, regardless of policy. I am aware of Loganir's presence here and I am surprised he still dwells here for this long knowing that I to dwell in this community


I wish to make peace among all types of creators/editors. As I age I've learned that it's best not to make war over pride. I am now an adult and I would rather share and enjoy with creators and non-creators than fight with them.

And please do share your point of view, I won't censor you or request to have you banned. I believe in what I say and I also believe that you should have the same rights to.

i see your point and what you think about this things.. its good to see that we can dialogue like adults and dont worry about any dramas because there is none.. i hope you do change your how you think about this in the future, you might not believe it but it does help s a lot to keep mugen growing in the right direction.. i see you are involved in a couple of wips and so it will be nice to see you put in the extra effort to make them be cool characters and as original as possible.. see, maccready was the guy that really got me into trying to get better. when i first started electro he was just a copy of cyclops and i mean all basics and all punches and kicks. he told be to work harder and to try using other bases and franken and all that.. this is what made me better.. i didnt sprite much before electro so it was hard at first until i started to get the hang of it.. if you try, you will see how much better you get.. the last thing i want to come here and do is to make problems, i really want to see others to get better and like that we can have more cool characters thats all. but most important i also like respect too and it just goes a long way.. like i said before, its nice we can talk about things without any dramas or problems.. still consider what im telling you, from what i seen you do, you got potential man..... anyways lets continue with what we were doing so lets keep spritting stuff...

Very, very nice work. And i like the idea of him being invincible. Well, almost invincible. Anyway, the base is perfect, the detailing is perfect too. Doomsday deserve to be in mugen. I actually like more the cartoon version than the one from comics. If you have in mind to finish this wip, i wish you the best of luck. Modok and doomsday are the best wips for me.

Doomsday looks great! Hopefully you can get that inspiration to work more on him! Keeo up the great work!

God dammit, this character looks great, yes the demand his very high for this character, this character will definitely go into my huge Marvel vs DC game. When is the character expected to finish? Just curious because of all the characters I always wanted to release, they take years, and they still haven't released.
