As stated with the opening of this forum section, we'll have a process for quarterly awards.

In this topic, you can list and/or discuss anything released during the period of October 2014 - December 2014 that will be in consideration for nominations and voting when we officially reach that point.

By anything, we mean not just characters. You can talk about Full Games, stages, screenpacks, special creation tools, etc. All that matters is that it was released between the October 1st and December 31st. Yes, that means, things still to be released in the future will be eligible.

If you have questions about anything, including the process, fee free to ask them.

while there is no telling what will happen in the next 3 months, bubblun and dr. fate will definitely be contenders for the next award period Smile

I think radioctive man should also be appointed, is a great character, loganir ja confirmed that will release electro before the new year, then I think that it should be readable.
and who knows Lady phantom could also be named. Rolling Eyes

@ chimoru...see, that is why we have this preview topic. for people to remind people before nomination time. for example, not only was sinestro a good reminder, but it reminded me of puck.

@ cristianomelo...phantom lady is a good char to remember. we'll just have to see regarding electro.

I would vote for Black panther. I think it's a char who deserved to be in Mugen and it's very well done.

Dr. Strange also deserved a Mugen char but I think some sprites are better than others (and I've never been a fan of him).
Sinestro's update is really cool and it was a pitty that a villain like him just had a betta version char, but there was already a playable char before and though the update is remarkable, it share a lot in common with the former version (I think awards should go to new chars, sorry).
Puck was a surprise and I think it's very well done too, but he is a second order heroe.
Of course, Superman 52 is really cool and way different from Hannibal's based Superman, but I like too much the old one (and I'm not really into 52/prime Earth era).
I don't remember if MODOK was released in this period, but he also deserve a mention (again, he's a second order character and, though it's well done, it's hard to pick him for an award).

well, modok did get a major update before the end of december, however, because he won the previous period of july-sept, that makes him ineligible.

my question is this...

why do you call him a 2nd order character that would be hard to pick, in your opinion, for a mugen award?

Well, in first place, I wasn't considering "just" how well the char is done. I agree that Modok is a really remarkable work which doesn't use edited sprites from other chars and looks very original, funny and new. I like Mugen to have this sort of characters (like Puck or Moleman too) which probably wouldn't appear in a commercial Marvel vs Capcom video game.
However, for a favourite char award, I would vote a more well known character (the equation might be: score = 2*well_done + well_known + 2*how_much_I_like_it). Maybe it's because I know little about Modok and the two last terms doesn't contribute too much compared with other chars.
OK, probably I'm wrong and he's not actually a 2nd order comic character at all (please, notice the difference between comic and mugen char), but my vote still goes to Black panther.
