I just hope he's not too short.
I have high hopes for this character, I really want to make him into a terminator. We were lucky to see him do many attacks such as eye laser attack and flying fist punch. I hope I can squeeze a few more in there of custom invention like a thunder stream attack.
EDIT: I'm gonna drop bardock, he's too similar to Goku.

I don't think I'm top quality, though I do enjoy the work experience in trying to perfect the pixels. It's like a puzzle to me,
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy the sprite editing.
I don't do anything special, it's just the bases at work. Thank goodness we have these characters to work with such as Alex, Venom, Victor, and Voldoll. These works are the real art. I'm an amateur compared to these professionals.

You could just give him a completely different playstyle? Or make em like Ken and Ryu,kinda the same,but still different(Ken is better in my opinion)
If i can also ask,what kind of gameplay are you going for? Combo heavy with same chains for everyone like MvC? Combo heavy with every character having different combos like Guilty gear?Or are you gonna go for poking more like Street Fighter?
Edit:also have you tried using lighter colours?Like CvS colours?

I wanted to have Bardock and future Gohan but they were too similar to Goku. I mean similar in appearance. Although Bardock has a different costume, his face is just too Goku and he really doesn't stand out as his own personality but rather an armored hyperbolic time chamber version of Goku. I just can't go through with it.
As for Future Gohan, he was very cool in the special episode/movie but Gohan has to be one of the worst characters considering the fact that his attacks are not different at all (KaMeHaMeHa) with the exception of that weak masenko-ha attack, which btw Piccolo has already. Future Gohan even looks similar to Yamcha with that scar and chewed up hair. Gohan has nothing going on when compared to Yamcha, Yamcha even has a few original moves that are different from Goku, at least.
Yeah i think Bathazarr or someone at MFG should do Bardock & Future Gohan instead. These characters aren't for me to do nor would I have them in my roster for being repetitive clones.
For gameplay I like the poking street fighter style; I can only combo well in games Like killer Instincts.
The specials and hypers are going to be slightly different from the usual attack sets in dbz characters. Instead of a ki shot, I'm gonna have Goku do a ki stream. Another special will be Goku's head tackle.
For hypers I'm gonna do a sudden KaMeHaMeHa wave, like with no hyper pause, he just shoots it out and it grows continuously until it looks exactly like the one that killed Cell. Also there won't be any hand gestures of KaMeHa or a slow reciting of the phrase. I've seen it in the anime just being fired when Goku didn't have time to think
Another will be a normal spirit bomb attack but instant as well. Similar to Bardock's attack on Frieza. Maybe I'll give it a tracking ability to follow its target? But a very weak tracking code so it can be avoidable to. Just so it's a little harder to dodge on the throw.
This next attack, I don't think Goku has ever done this except in the DBZ intro "headChaLa".

A super Saiyan Rage self destruct explosion attack.
As for colors, I'm grabbing them from anime screencaps and adjusting them through RGB into shades. Nothing special really. I can do palettes later on and adjust them to look like cvs. I noticed Z2 had a SFIII palette, I might copy that in as a palette also?

Still playing with the Namek design. His spriting is very difficult because of the arm details. I hope it's okay though I may need to reference UB22 sprites & Balthazarr's sprites and maybe that arcade version of DBZ? These wips are on hold but only after I have had enough of Nintendo. This is in no way cancelled. It's still on but you don't need to keep watch for now

My story falls apart without Bardock apparently so I guess I will have no chocie but to include him.
But!
I am definitely doing him last.
It's really ironic for me because I have always said in many forums where I did MK that I absolutely hate clones and that I would never create a clone and to do a character that looks exactly like Goku is like a big "In Your Face!!!" to me.

As for 19, he is pretty cool but but he really wasn't much and I'm trying not to make so many Androids or so many Nameks, etc. Another reason why I didn't want to do Bardock to because he would be another Saiyan
