Help editing a wind effect from Zvitor's Magneto Empty

Help editing a wind effect from Zvitor's Magneto 2649099129 as stated in a different topic, i'm editing a few things for a red tornado update.

one of the things is taking the wind effect in zvitor's magneto and making it red. anyone have an idea how i can make that happen?

btw, if anyone know of an oil drum sprite i can edit into it being a blown item, that'd be appreciated too.

Well, if you're using that code as it is now, couldn't you take the 3505 explod out of the 3501 state, make a new state with a Red Palfx and link the new state as a helper in the old 3501 state in place of the explod?  You could even add other stuff to it then, make it more versatile.

That's now *I* would do it, but then I'm still rookie.  Although I haven't done it, so I don't know how it will look.

I have no idea what you said Razz

I was trying to color swap the extracted sprites but getting zero luck. Are you saying it can be done with coding?

It can. With Fire, I made a lot of her fire green using Palfx. I don't have access to my stuff now, but if you look in my Fire coding, you'll see on things like her punches as kicks that I have a helper in some of them that goes to a DIFFERENT state where her fire animation (the one I'd attach to her arms and legs) is located. In THAT state, there is a Green PalFX code that made any explods or animations in that state tinted the shade of green I specified. The fire I used, if you look in the AIR was red, but when I used that code, it turned it green. It wasn't perfect, it loses a bit of clarity, but it worked for what I needed it to do. For an FX like wind, auras, etc, it should be ok. It saved me having to recolor all those sprites and making them worse in the progress.

I thought you could do the same with the wind animation and a red PalFX.

I hope I clarified.

Or u could just open the .pcx sprite with infranview, edit the color on the slidebar to desired hues and save as a .pcx and put back into .sff file, no editing in fighterfactory to the images will be needed because the clear color in the images will keep theyre same values. Like making a whole new pallet but for single sprites
