There was a comment left in out chat room over night that intrigued me to do a little investigating with google and what I found made me think this would be a very interesting topic for you all.
If you have not heard of Twitch.tv like me, apparently they do streaming video of video game play. Well, they have a setting for Mugen. While that would remind you of YouTube videos of AI fights, they take it further. Apparently they stream whatever live and take bets on who will win. Before you think why would anyone gamble on that kind of thing, its fake money and the gambling is all in the name of fun.
They create a channel on Twitch.tv for the broadcasts, and then use an alternative website for the gambling fun. Here are the two mentioned from our chat:
Saltybet.com
===
Twitch.tv channel: http://www.twitch.tv/saltybet
Website: http://www.saltybet.com/
Brief overview: Crazy chat with apparently an emphasis on Dragonball Z characters and prefer crazy broken gameplay. A chance they focus on mocking Mugen too
Gamewalkers.com
===
Twitch.tv channel: http://www.twitch.tv/leqesai
Website: http://gamewalkers.com/games/mugen/
Brief overview: Fewer characters, but a little better in the gameplay department. Provide info about Mugen itself, as well as partial review of characters. Higher percentage of comic characters than saltybet.com
There may be some of you that know more than me since all my info came from a little bit of google searching this morning. If you know more, please feel free to talk about it as I am sure there are many others here who would like to know more.
Thank you
