So originally this whole thing started out as a simple palette, sprite edit in Photoshop, which I did for fun, since I was bored. I already saw some "evil/demon" edits of this character, but as always, most of these edits didn't offer much new, other than different colors. However, the more I worked on this, the more I started to like the idea of making this as an actual edit.
If you old enough, you can obviously tell the character itself is mostly inspired by Isabeau. An old and famous/infamous Kula edit made by 100%Ex-Inferis, but there are many other sources which inspired me, like Doom, Blood, Heretic, Hexen, Dragon Age Origins, and even from Kings Bounty: The Legend. I added many custom made sprites, while I also restored many optional animations, which were in the original release, but were removed from the updated version.
The character was originally released at the end of 2021, but since it had some issues, and overlooks (mostly TeamSide 2 related stuff) which need to be fixed, tweaked, I updated it. Of course I didn't stop just there, and I also added many more new things. (Some of it was requested.)
Version 1.3 - 07.16.2024 - Added new optional sprites and animations. - Compatibility added with The Black Heart characters. (Peketo, Animus, Hashi, Janos) - Compatibility added with Hokuto no Ken character. (Jagi's "Hey, sit there" move, Jagi's "The devil is smiling now" move, Rei's Grab, Cross Mausoleum.) - Compatibility added with Sailor Moon's Ultrasonic attack. (Includes TsukinoAi+, and MillionMiles version too.) - The Black Heart style blood system is itegrated. (Only sharp attacks can cause bleeding.) - New fatal mechanism, mostly same as Brutal Doomguy. - Upscaled some sprites. - Tweaked some sprites, and animations. - New bike sprites, and player sprites for the bike riding. - Bike intro added. - Fixed TeamSide 2 related problems, like positioning and facing. - Minor fixes for the Street Eater Ride, and Shadow Fiends hypers. - Updated the AI run, walk, and jump behavior. - The AI can use taunt now. - Combo Breaker is now affected by difficulty level, as it should be. - Added Super Jump and Wall Jump ability. - Added running kick and and air jump kick move. - Cheap KO works properly. - Things that should have shadow, like a solid object, now have shadow. - Some new extra effects here and there.
