Subject: The Batman Who Laughs June 28th 2022, 12:35 pm
Hi there ! When I came to this forum, volzzilla and I had a talk about my WIPs for the event. I have a LOT (!) of WIPs (can't focus on one thing) but one of them caught his attention, despite the fact that it is just at the "concept" phase: The Batman Who Laughs. As I browsed the Internet looking for sprite bases easy enough to modify at a large scale, I found an amazing and really simple sprite made by " WorldsWorstDetective" on DeviantArt: the Batman Who Laughs using Jedah as a base. Some genius, really. So I tried to push the concept further and doing a real character. But this time, instead of doing a spriteswap like always, I wanted to do an original character from scratch, and developed some ideas to do so. I precise again that this is today at the concept phase.
And here's something that might interest you further: while in a creative rush, I thought "why not doing the same Hyper as Alucard's Batman with the Multiverse, but with the Dark Multiverse and the Dark Knights instead ! And so I did some modifications:
Hope you like it ! (and plz don't hope for a release soon for this character, I have a ton of WIPs to finish before going on this)

Have you ever thought about asking a coder to help you with coding? I'm sure someone would love to code those sprites, but he's definitely looking cool. One of my favorite versions of Batman so this will definitely be interesting to see come to life.

For my newest characters, starting from this one, I'll probably do that, because there is a limit to my spriteswapping and copy/paste abilities [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

And he got weapons already in his sprites, like the scythe. The only downside is that he's pellicular in some of his animations, like the absence of walking for exemple, but nothing impossible to change.

It is a project that seems simple on the surface, but as you detailed later, it needs time and creative work to complete a good final result. The concept of WorldsWorstDetective is very good so hopefully you can show some progress soon. Best of luck.
