That's awesome, I'm rewatching tas spiderman for I forgot most parts in it I do want to see that poison like move but making it rarely to be triggered by AI move if possible, since this is based on tas version so why not right?

And @Splash , I do want to see a video too but I think it would be perfect contribution for this upcoming event to make this awesome character work be notice more.

I think you can have up to 6 different special attacks at least that's how I try and reprogram a lot of my characters I don't like putting in different button in and the same move happens I don't know if that's just me my point is there room for another special if you want lol

by "done" i meant they are at the very least partially sprited (without tentacles), so, better word wouldve been "set" or "partially done" i guess, meaning i most likely wont be changing or removing them
(refering to cross suggesting i should add new ones, like poison one, if im in a need of an easy special move, but i guess he just meant that there is always room for another special, like he said here)
only 1 hyper and 1 special is completely done (meaning fully sprited and coded and working in game) so far, Splash
so it will be a pretty short video

@cross, i just usually think character doesnt really need more than 4 of each, tbh, i have some characters with up to 6 (like cyclops), but i just found out that i personally never use more than 4 in the game myself, i just seem to forget other 2 exist. and just randomly would use them, when i remember "oh yeah, he has that one also". maybe its just me. but i mean, yeah, nothing bad with having more than 4, definitely better than having less, but i probably wont go for more than 4 for a first release (need to get at least that much first)

and i will show a video for sure, when something substantial is added and working in the template (like all punches and kicks, for example)

@candido, yes that was a weird episode of spiderman visiting a little girl, who was the fan of his, and then out of nowhere he gets attacked and poison slept by doc ock, gets abducted and brainwashed to become a criminal. also that jamaican taxi driver girl in that episode, who talks like hermes from futurama.. man, thats a weird episode, kinda like those "christmas with the x-man" ones lol (but still good amount of doc ock in it for reference)

I find 4 specials works really well. There are characters that put way too much like Etrigan that you really can't remember and do everything or see it all in one round because fighters have a limited lifebar and a match can only go on for so long. I have to agree that around 6 you really forget about some. 4 is a good balance that works and enough to keep you engaged with a strategy. It should be a compliment to a 6 button fighter rather than a burden and should assist in strategy or combos. Also some moves can be too repetitive and if you're adding in too many you can end up with 5 different kinds of laser attacks that aren't that different from each other making it pointless and redundant to have soo many of the same thing basically..

The best fighters are the most basic and straight to the point. Some characters have long drawn out moves with cutscenes that take forever in a standard 15-20 second match that after using it for the third time you really become annoyed with it and try to avoid it all together in the future which is a shame because it's pretty elaborate and cool but again it works best just being simple and quick.

Sometimes balance is more important to a fighter rather than having more of everything.
