I found these videos and they are not more than a year old that they were uploaded, does anyone know if these chars are private or something about their whereabouts?

liono,heman,skeletor,manatarms,and now stratos are released characters. panthro that you see is just helper sprites ripped from lionos .sff and attempted to make a full character. I pulled some panthro sprites and altered them years ago using capcom cap. america as a base years ago(what i could find of them are uploaded in the forum) with the recoloration of cap's legs,a full panthro would not be hard to make as long as you had someone to code him.

Those sprites a very beautiful, its a shame they are not all finished. Its a very good idea indeed, with clean and standarized styled sprites...well lets wait to see more advances...i hope.
