HOW TO MAKE PORTRAITS LOSING LESS QUALITY?

I'm not getting do portraits with a satisfatory quality for mugen.

What's the best tool to do it?



i need to do something like these portraits.

being the 256 colors standard indexed for mugen, when i decrease the size for small and lifebar portraits the quality looks very bad.

i need quality and size variation.

It's true friend, I don't achieve the desired colors in 256 colors either. The only thing that looks good is HD images, but it's the only way

I think it's nearly impossible to reach that quality in Mugen but if you use Gimp or Photohop and convert it to indexed it will keep most of the original quality, it depends on the otiginal quality and colors of the original.
