RETSU WIP By LESSARD

Hey brothers & sisters of MMV, here I show you my new WIP from the SF Universe:

The old master: RETSU


I took the base of David Bazbar version (an edit of MOTW´s Khushnood Butt a.k.a Marco Rodriguez) and start to put some of my  magic on him...

But im still not decide if go for the old style (with the short laces belt), or Shadaloo C.R.I artwork style

Besides I will try to give him a moveset closest to traditional karate style to avoid the most I can to feel him like another Shoto-clone. Wish me luck.

Big idea. Great sprite C.R.I., i really like to relive the first SF ONE fighters.

look amazing! please created classic version ok?

I'd say use the newer design to stand out from David Bazbar's version more.
I think Retsu is supposed to look serious, but something looks off, he looks way too angry to me.
Yes, thank you, people can make a karate character that doesn't have the shoto moveset.
Makoto's proof of that.

I expected this char for years, chuchoryu was making him,but he isn't done yet.  

The new sprite looks good and modern, I think you can make him with a classic suit,but with a cvs looking.

Great to see that he is going to get some much needed love.
Can't wait to see what you do with him.

Can still have a yellow collar via palettes.

Good luck Lessard he is looking good. I like both styles. If you choose the Shadaloo C.R.I artwork style, you should make a intro of him turning the belt to the side.

Wow, out of all SF One characters that did not make a grand return in future titles has Retsu been my favourite. I've always wished for Retsu to come back, but it never did. Glad to see you are working on him. That makes me very happy.

Fantastic friend, this character deserved a good char.
In my opinion the version of the Shadaloo CRI art style is better, even that Sprite looks spectacular
