How do you find interest in a movie, tv show, anime etc

Hi, for me, my favorite genre is always fighting action, but I seldom watch movie, tv show, anime much and I don't catch on the latest as well if unexpectedly, the movie, tv show, anime has got babes in it that is what interest me most. Even if the movie, tv show, anime are not fighting action related and has got pretty babes, I would also get interest in it Like for instance:

Movie: I watched some of Bruce Lee series, Yip man series etc because of fighting action and Yip Man series as Donnie Yen was the latest I have watched back in year 2009 to 2011. After that, I did not watched any movies Bruce Lee series was when I was a kid, I watched it and enjoy the fighting action there   for Yip Man, I was bored when I was in a plane flying to oversea and I browsed the catalogue on the plane screen. I remember my sibling watched Shanghai Knight which has got Donnie Yen as the villain in that movie. So I was interesting in watching his acting in the first Yip Man movie. It was a great movie and quite inspirational that I enjoyed watching. I catch up the sequel in year 2001, but not the third one where Mike Tyson was in.

Anime: I am mostly interested in anime that are based off fighting games such as Street Fighter 2 The Animated Movie. I remember back in year 2005, my sibling was watching Naruto series and I watched it as well. I find the storyline interesting after watching it for prolong episodes and also found some common personalities of some characters as me such as the never gives up thingy. Even till this day, I am catching up with Boruto series, Naruto's son. Hinata Hyuuga was my love interest, but after she was married to Naruto, I kind of ditch her and find another female kunoichi that I find a certain love interest on her, her name is Sumire Kakei but I don't really like her default outfit though

TV Show: In my local country, nowadays there are very rare martial art base tv shows, most of them are love stories, love rivals stories etc but what interest me most is the actresses if I find her cute, I would be interested in watching her show Recently, there is a tv show in my country which I saw in a thread in one of my local lousy forum featuring the show where there are two cute girls, one of them is my new love interest and the other looks like a girl whom I have a crush in my class back in year 2014 as this actress looks like her , so I got hooked of the tv show and watch it to see their beauty I don't care about the storyline to be honest but if the girl is attached or married in real life, I would lost interested in her

My favorite tv/movie/cartoon/anime/comics/manga genres are as follows (in an order of preference) :
1) horror
2) sci-fi
3) action

I find interest in 1) horror by a friend's challenge.  In the past, I seldom watch and like horror stuff.
One day my friend challenged me to try a horror movie "The Sixth Sense (1999)".  Since then I began to like horror stuff, and tried to watch as many horror stuff as I could (thanks to the Great Internet because it was hard to find horror stuff in China).  Not only horror tv/movie/cartoon/anime/comics/manga but also horror video games like Resident Evil/Silent Hill/The House of the Dead/...etc. -- all have become my favorite genre!  My top five (5) horror movies were listed here : http://mugenmultiverse.fanbb.net/t4300-your-top-five-5-horror-movies

I find interest in 2) sci-fi by a Japanese anime/manga "Akira (1988)".  I have long been a ESP (Extra-Sensory Perception) fan.  In China it is called "特异功能".  Some Stephen Chow's movies show some ESP scenes.  Akira in my opinion is the best in the ESP sci-fi genre.  I really hope someday there will be a live-action Akira movie.  I know there exists a fan-made one in progress => http://www.akira-project.com/
Oh I need to mention "Village of the Damned (1995)" too, due to the appearance of Mark Hamill and Christopher Reeve.

The next sci-fi one I must need to mention is "The Thing (1982)".  This was a very unique and awesome sci-fi movie which includes all my favorite genres: horror (gory VFXs), sci-fi (UFO), action (breaking human trust killing).

I find interest in 3) action mostly by Jackie Chan's/Sammo Hung's/Yuen Biao's kung-fu movies.  For example, their "Wheels on Meals (1984)" was among the 1st first kung-fu movies I have watched : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087578/

Honestly speaking, I rarely watch tv drama/show.  Most of the ones I have watched are "made-in-China", and some "made-in-Taiwan" video game tv shows.
I don't even have a TV set.  "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987)" was one (1) of the few tv series I could actually finish (thanks to the Great Internet).

By the way, I once helped with some Chinese-to-English subtitle translation work for some movies before, but not now any more.
