when did you discovered mugen?

Not sure if already has done this but,when did you discover mugen? i discovered mugen since 2011(only because of those "VS." videos...lol)

in 2006?? I dont remember fine! but in 2010 I workin in my first palettes and that only for me hahahaha

4 Years ago I think, I first met my first impression on Buyog Savage Hulk and Superman by Hannibal ever since then I want to create something like this my first project was Superman which always met unsatisfying result until this year which i manage to finalize him. I was very thankful to all those peaple who help me understand and learn MUGEN thanks to the Community

I'm going to say at least 10 years ago - although I didn't really pick it up (understanding how to setup MUGEN) for a few years after seeing it on YouTube. The main reason I started playing it (what prompted me to figure out how download and setup MUGEN) was the series YouTube videos showing Homer Simpson by Warner (as Iori). As soon as I saw those I WANTED to play.

Homer is still one of my favorites!!

My first encounter with Mugen was like 12 years ago. I don't know how a friend of mine got a CD with a Mugen version. I didn't like it very much because it had many chars in it, with many sizes and aspects, like Nintendo Mario Bros with short Goku and SF alpha Ryu. It didn't make sense to me and I didn't like it.
But by 2013 I was living in a city far from my friends and many times I got bored. I suddenly remembered Mugen and google it, finding great videos and some very good comic book chars made by spriters. I investigated a bit and found that I can customize the roster and almost everything myself, so I downloaded the MugenSuperHeroes2000 I still use (no, weel, in some point I upgrade from winMugen to 1.0) and started looking for the comic book chars.

- Why: I was searching online for some video game emulation stuff and saw some MUGEN screen shots and wondered what it was and found it very interesting then began my MUGEN life
* oh I really don't remember the 1st first MUGEN stuff I downloaded and tried out..........it might be some Street Fighter stuff I guess.....

Found it by accident by searching dbz vs yuyu hakusho,
ended up on a warehouse site, I think it was mugenfury, if not then it's another one that I can't remember.

I Used to Mod Some video games like GTA Vice City and Counter Strike 1.6 Back those days
anyway I discovered mugen in 2012 when i got a game from my friend titled
' Mortal Kombat vs Street fighter '
I always Loved Both Games . .I Searched for the game online but never found it online . .
( never knew it would even exist . . because both games have a very different style of Presentation )

when I first got the game . . I was wondering because
it didn't have a proper ending assigned to the characters . .
and sprites were strange for both franchisee's characters . .

Because Sf had anime Styled / Cartoon styled sprites . . while mk character's Sprites were Digitized . this made me question the game . . why should the sprites be different ??

I looked into some files like read me /abouts . . and discovered that this is a Mugen powered Engine and a Fan made Game . .

I discovered mugen through youtube, actually through a "fan game" of Naruto... I even keep the game on my computer still just for the nostalgia's sake hehe

Five years ago i saw Mugen again in Saltybet.com(bet in mugen fights), then i got interested for Marvel and DC chars.
