Quest to find MMV's favorite comic movie; Winner - Captain America: Winter Soldier

I say Thor, purely because it was extremely difficult for marvel to introduce a character that was new and had a major mythology behind it, batman has been done before many times over, I'd like to see Christopher Nolan pull off a character like that, but since everyone already knows of batman through its previous predecessors it wasn't too hard to reboot and remake a batman franchise, Thor pn the other hand, had introduction to Hawkeye Loki, Odin, heimdall, plus a whole other galaxy that needed to exist in order to exist just to facilitate Thor being real in a movie, batman just runs around a major city

its like comparing lord of the rings vs judge dredd (latest one that is) for me
hands down Thor
but popularity in the name "batman" will have voters swing its way

dark knight is one of the greatest comic movies of all time and it's the best of the trilogy. heath ledger redefined what people thought about the joker. its not about the batman name, its about the movie being a really good one.

not bias on this one, I actually like batman, as oppose to the rest of DC's flawed unrealistic characters
and dark knight was the only good one out of the three Nolan pics, purely due to the joker's performance, but we can't always harp on about heath's acting in it, yes he was cool, and psychotic, and funny, but so was Brandon lee in crow, so are we to always praise and love the actor who died before their prime, just coz of that circumstance, are we destined to be polite NOT to speak ill of the dead, being an aussie, I've seen heath play way better roles than the joker
watch "two hands" and "Ned Kelly" his best movies by far, he was very talented, and with Dr Parnassus, well hard to say it was bad acting, (coz even it was rubbish) but since he didn't really get to finish it, and possibly do re-takes and such, not much you can do about that.

dark knight against thor?? have it been up against another movie, I might swing its way

and i'm fairly sure winter soldier will win this comp, so me debating the difference between bat and thor, is moot hehehehehe

speaking of thor anyone remember the first um-cinematic (I think it was direct to video but whatever) attempt with the incredible hulk returns before thor that cross over movie was all we got
and for its time it was enjoyable

I haven't seen guardians yet and im not sure if I want to but really really liked x-men 2 back then

I'm gunning towards guardians it's one of the 4 movies i came back to watch in the theaters again and again i've seen it 3 times now (other four are cap 2,inception,guardians,lord of the rings the two towers)

This was a very unmatched pairing, guardians of the galaxy wins purely on what i mentioned regarding creation of new worlds, new characters, witt, all round awesome film

But..mostly the wit mr arkady

@ arkady...it could have been closer. x-men 2 was the best of that trilogy. not to mention guardians has the bump or being out so recently.

this is an intriguing matchup in may ways. first you have the obvious marvel vs. dc. but you also have one of the very first comic movies vs. one of the first new age comic movies. another way to look at it is, a long time movie classic against a box office blockbuster. either way, should be fun.

superman 2. both are good, but spiderman 3 was the worst of the trilogy. and superman 2 really was a classic.
